@CormacRussell Yeah it's been interesting how ABCD has been the starting point for developing primary care neighbourhoods in Flanders. It's just a shame the programme is only funded for 2 years. Communities don't work to a deadline!

Hard to comment w/o more context. Looks like the capacities & relationships of ppl being served are put to the fore; not an afterthought, which is g8. Is it a person-centred model within a neighbourhood context? Be fascinating to augment it with more community-centred approaches.

VERDICT DAY. After 3 months of tweeting updates, I’ve no plan for this thread as I have others. More will come from @KidsOfColourHQ, I guess I need to out grief here. All 10 were found guilty. As soon as the word ‘gang’ entered that court, that was it. I’m mad that I had hope.

We can have youth violence without ‘gangs’. If we accepted that some kids in groups aren’t dealing with conflict well, are individually carrying, individually dealing to survive, we’d have to reflect on our society. ‘Gangs’ excuses us, no mirror, they’re just a violent ‘other’.
