Why is the US declining as a superpower while China is rising? Our congress is made up of lawyers. China is run by engineers. They plan for decades. We plan in 4-year election cycles. They invest billions in infrastructure. We invest billions in corporate tax breaks for the top 1%. Engineers build. Lawyers bill.

No one gets a college degree to become a delivery rider or MBA Chai-wala or B-Tech Dhokla wala. They do this work because there are no other opportunities left. When delivery riders start making equal money as PhD holders, it shows that degrees are pointless. And, we as a society have stopped valuing education. This creates a system= people devalue education = less focus on research= low competitiveness = you get Instagram consumption economy. Only way to earn becomes: "blue collar jobs" or "get ready with me" influencers. Celebrate this? seriously.

@RealDianeYap Travelling is a hobby. It cannot be life itself unless you are a travel vlogger or a writer. Continuity of human beings is what counts and women are instrumental in this. Cleaning and cooking is part of maintaining that continuity. At least until robots.

Why is it so male-coded these days to say traveling isn’t that fun, isn’t that great, isn’t that impressive, isn’t worth putting off “real life” for? Because these men want you in the house doing maid work and looking after their children. Depressing.

Traveling really isn’t that impressive. It’s not hard to do. You just go to an airport and get on a plane. It’s not a big accomplishment. Then you go somewhere and you have no responsibilities or obligations and just wander around and so of course it’s pleasurable enough. Traveling is fine. I’ve been to about 45 countries. But it’s not worth making big sacrifices for or delaying real life more than a year or two or anything like that.

Trump went to China with his entire business entourage. Why? My bet is: to set the new world order. Here is the 3 most obvious thing that we are missing. And, it will change our life. 1) If China <> US gets together there is no multipolar world. There is this (combined superpower) vs everyone else. 2) If AI continues to evolve. US, Chinese firms will continue to sell to the entire world. They will get more & more profitable with time. They benefit the most. Most other countries become a short trade, not a long trade. 3) China + US: can simply put a line in the world; figure out a way to bifurcate the world. And, set a new world order. You think it won't happen? Maybe. But, it is a possibility that we can't deny. My trade is US (AI). My plan is to keep 50% of my net-worth on US tech. If the above macro theory pans out, this 50 units of money goes to 500.
