@oneofmoo I often have a global events broadcaster for situations like this. With the event you can broadcast the data required for the object to respond to the event without the object needing to have access to the other level. Happy to share if it'll help😄

@Madhotdog Yeah. Basically in my situation, one level needs to know about data that's only accessible in another level so I just query our save data for that level. Not the worst but not an access pattern I like. But I don't want to restructure all the data for this one case.

I'm writing some code today that is probably the nastiest in the whole project, but I'm reminding myself that I need to get more used to letting code like this exist for not critical parts of code. But I can feel the pain my soul. Ha ha.

I couldn't find a TV unit that I liked that was affordable so I found this basic as hell one on Amazon for like £100, some pine wood, stain and tools for £50 and have spent my weekends turning it into ✨this✨ I'm so pleased with how much better it looks now

@byrktr_azad Not to mention retaining staff that worked on the previous game. But also Rockstar games gross enough that they don't have to worry about the same things as other studios and with GTA Online they also don't have to worry about revenue.

Some good news after a lot of anguish for Unity Devs for the last year, but hey at least it forced a change of leadership. Talking with publishers the last couple of months one of the first questions has been if we're planning on avoiding unity 6, hopefully that'll change today.

I'm thrilled to see this well-deserved recognition, but I've got to say, $6 million is a drop in the bucket for the incredible work Melissa and her team at Pok Pok have accomplished. ( We valued Clubhouse at $4 billion, didn't we? We also overvalued BeReal, Poparazzi, Lapse, and even IRL that was an absolute fraud but raised $200 million using Bots with ease from VCs.… ) It’s absolutely unprecedented what they have done here, and continue to do. I’m not talking about installs I’m talking about viability. They've built a remarkable platform that's making a real difference in the lives of families across this great nation. Their dedication and perseverance, even among a remarkably talented and experienced team, have resulted in the creation of one of the healthiest apps aimed at kids' of the past decade. We need to recognize that the work they're doing is not just about metrics and profits, but about building a better future for our children. Pok Pok is a shining example of the kind of leadership and innovation we need more of in Silicon Valley and beyond. So let's keep supporting Melissa and her team as they continue to push the boundaries of what's possible. They're just getting started, and I have no doubt that they'll be a force for good for years to come.
