The restoration of production capacity at the ARC is well underway with an additional investment into expanding the existing capacity over the medium-term already afoot. Over time, this will progressively reduce reliance on imports and ensure sustainability of vaccine supply in line with the national disease management strategy. Regrettably, he is in denial. There are 12.4 million unemployed people, and of these, around about 10 million, nearly 80% are trapped in structural, long-term unemployment, meaning they have been without work for over a year. The majority are young people, women, Black South Africans, and those in rural areas. Even if we were to absorb all of them into universities and TVET colleges, it would not resolve the crisis because the economy is simply not creating jobs. The latest data I saw shows that over 600,000 graduates including doctors, lawyers and engineers are unemployed Yes, education is essential. Stats SA confirms that those without a matric qualification face almost no chance of employment. But we must not exaggerate the role of education to justify maintaining economic policies that have clearly failed the unemployed. The crisis is not just a skills problem, it is a failure of the economy to generate decent work.

What happened to encryption vs non encryption died a slow death with the previous ministers of communications…

Thats part of the issue that was being raised against the proposal Makhosazana that access to SABC is a constitutional right and therefore if Multichoice switches off someone for non payment, we are depriving them of what is enriched in the Constitution. As things stand now, even if your decoder is switched off you can still access SABC on free-to-air. Now my point is DSTV is a luxury in the strictest sense of the word. And if someone is willing to pay a DSTv subscription I think it’s a stretch to not expect them to pay R30 per month or R265 per year to fund the public mandate which is enjoyed on a daily basis in a variety of ways Don’t know if I’m answering your question or making sense

Curious, if a Multichoice/Canal+ subscriber stops paying, can they still access SABC 1,2 &3? What happened to the digital migration decoders / set top boxes with the tech to support zero rated services? Then our people can watch SABC+ AND or regular SABC 1,2&3 programming. We have the content!

I am told I have a debt of over R10k which just does not make sense to me since the licence is R265 per annum. Hello. Iran has said there were no talks, direct and indirect. This is significant in juxtaposing what Trump said. You have access to the Iranian embassy in Pretoria. Is it wise to lift Trump's social media posts and report them without contrasting them with what the other side says? Do you trust Trump's version of events without pause? His comments can't be ignored, of course. But even a president must be fact checked. Especially this one. "Trump says" is not the hill editorial certainty must die on.
