@mindfullyemily I agree with the other replies and have had great success with the free stylist services from Nordstrom. You give some feedback about what you’re looking for and they can pull outfits for you. It’s not a high-pressure sale AT ALL.

Two neighborhood garden clubs have inquired if I’m interested in joining. Two. I feel very middle aged.

A friend of my smallest kiddo is in Israel with their family. Went to see family for the holidays. Heartsick & praying so hard for peace & their safe return.

On my way to counseling & my heart feels so heavy & I’m already roughly swallowing against tears. Beyond thankful for my therapist creating a space where I can grieve & my body knows that we’re almost there. So so thankful.

Yesterday I took my favorite guy for surprise after school ice cream. Today my mother took him for surprise after school ice cream. Surprise after school ice cream is officially non surprising anymore.

@Misterchief @dieworkwear Yea, this is huge. A lot of people want to have the same size closet they have now, filled with early-1900s quality clothes, and that just isn't how it worked.

my hot take is that if you recognize clothing was better generations ago and think that it should still be so today, you have to be willing to pay the prices people paid for clothes generations ago (which is not $50 dress shirts, $70 pants, $90 shoes)

@christen_rexing We dumped ours over a decade ago. Only telemarketers called it & I’d had a baby disturbed by the ringing one too many times. I do not miss it. Children are flummoxed by idea of a phone, permanently affixed to the house, where it could ring for anyone.

We got rid of our landline about a year ago. I cried.

Weepy today. Trauma anniversary? Perimenopause? That I finished reading a wonderful book & that I haven’t written myself in over a year & I am grieving? Who said the teen years are the hardest? Bc today I’m telling them they are wrong.
