@aawayne Am sure that is true. I would be super interested in why Mississippi has strict exemption rules. I imagine that is the case in WV, too. But why? How? And NM? Maybe because such a high percentage of children get their healthcare via Medicaid in those states? Super interesting.

@magancrane Hi Magan! A great question -- I couldn't resist digging around a little. Suspect it has a lot to do with exemptions. Mississippi is pretty strict -- e.g., religious exemptions require parents to schedule a meeting with the county health department and watch an educational video.

🚨Six weeks after my @BW cover story on sextortion scams driving teens to suicide, @Meta carried out a mass purge.
Today, it announced it’s removed 63,000 (😱) fake accounts linked to sextortion scammers in Nigeria.
Holy cow; 63,000.
