Democratic Change Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has dismissed the Africa Forward Summit as a political "sideshow," accusing President William Ruto of seeking international legitimacy while ignoring crises in healthcare, education and security.

Coffee farmers from Ikolomani, Kakamega County, receive coffee seedlings at the Chief’s office in Makhokho, as part of an ongoing agricultural revival initiative. About 2,000 residents have been registered under various cooperatives, with more than 60,000 seedlings distributed. The programme aims to encourage farmers to embrace coffee farming as an alternative source of income.

Rwanda banned second-hand clothes in 2018.

Since 2018, Rwanda has halted the importation of second-hand clothing to protect and grow its local textile industry, promote "Made in Rwanda" products, and strengthen economic independence.
This is why you won't see the massive piles of imported clothing waste in Rwanda that are common in many other African countries.

They wrote to all African Heads of State cautioning them against voting for Baba Raila Amolo Odinga for AU Commission Chair. The same courtesy was not extended to Uhuru Kenyatta in his nomination as peace envoy and facilitator for the East African Community (EAC)-led Nairobi Peace Process.
