I agree. I hate the concept, but I understand it from a business perspective. I believe if people want to be good at a game they should be required to put the time in. Im from the era where a casual is supposed to suck, not be decent at worst. Thats why I say all the recent 2Ks are participation trophy 2Ks. I haven’t felt a legitimate skill gap since 2K19. People wonder why I don’t take the game that seriously anymore, it’s just not as competitive as it used to be. It really started in 21. 21 Next Gen I stopped sweating immediately.

2K26 dribbling was tuff idc what anyone says .. Huge upgrade from 2K25.. BUT FOR 2K27 PLEASE DON’T MAKE THE GAME SPEED SLOW

You can have a 60 OVR and shoot with tempo and make MOST of your shots in STAGE. I don't know if this should be added in 2K27.. or at LEAST take it out in competitive modes. #NBA2K26

@Koza2k_ This is the biggest thing about 2k we want defense but we see it then complain i understand that that is an ass way to lose the ball but in both clips the defender is literally right there on the ball,He shouldn’t be rewarded for you standing there holding it and him reaching?

THIS HAS TO CHANGE FOR 2K27 Playing 2s against sweats or cheaters, stops and possessions are huge... that being said, when i fight for my life for a stop, i can NOT lose the ball by getting plucked while im in the triple threat. I have 2 hands on the ball, playing safe and slow. this cant happen. and us ball handlers need a way to actively protect the ball both while in a live dribble and while in the triple threat. Meta defense on 2s is reach on somebody off inbound and pray for the fluke. it cant be like this. its been a headache today... #NBA2K26

Everyone loves to claim 2K26 has no defense, but when they show you clips they are literally just playing bad defense. 🤔 Everyone loves to say “They are forcing you to jump to get a contest!” And that’s simply not true either. We all have forced misses and got good contests with hands up. I’m not saying hands up can’t use some improvements (as I’ve obviously posted about it) but let’s not act like it doesn’t work at all. Can anyone show me a real example of a well equipped defensive build getting screwed over by 2K on defense?

I might be the only person who thinks nobody in comp proam is cheating. It MIGHT just make sense that the people who have 3000+ hours in proam on the easiest shooting 2k MIGHT hit some crazy shots every now and then. Most of the shots say open too lol

@StoryOfSwantE What I’ve learned from this community let them complain or ask for something they won’t like it anyways no matter what they only talk about what they think they can benefit from not how the community/game as a whole will be affected now

got a feeling mike wang gonna make the ai op in nba 2k27 guys if you get a ai on your team you deserve to be at a disadvantage. you would understand this if you always made the other team quit because of your gameplay. why should you be at a disadvantage because you make the other team quit? if you make it to where you can’t shoot over the ai 91% of rec randoms will never score again and they gain a massive advantage and come back an cook you. it is even more infuriating than your teammate quitting an them exploiting the ai, this has happened in multiple 2ks. most people still can’t exploit the ai. you have to be able to blow past the ai or shoot over them or you get a massive disadvantage for being better than the other team. you guys don’t understand that you’re trying to reward the worse players which cooks balancing completely. it’s not hard to understand, i can understand why bots don’t understand this but i don’t see how better players aren’t understanding this. maybe it’s cuz yall barley play with randoms. if your teammates quit you deserve to be at a disadvantage, you should not then spawn a computer that shoots better than 90% of players and plays better defense than 95% of players. 😃

@EarvGotti242 Finally someone gets it but imo it will never be a way to fully please both sides without watering down one side I don’t think the people that play 2k actually understand how easy the game is it’s not hard to hold the x button to green a shot or simply just run into the ball

People say they want defense in 2K but the majority of the community cries when we ACTUALLY get good defense in the game. There will NEVER be a perfect balance between offense and defense in 2K. One side will always have a slight edge. The REAL question is would you rather have the larger skill gap on the offensive side (meaning that it's harder to score and defense is easier) or vice versa?
