My mamaji is on ventilator. He had all his life’s savings within PSU bank in FDs. All his accounts have been sealed as due to being bed ridden he could not do re-KYC in person. His kids asked bank to take humane view. Bank said if he cannot come in person, accounts will not open. FDs in PSU banks can be useless in time of need due to KYC regulations. @narendramodi @RBI this KYC mess is draconian. Please help in this time of need

@PratapSarnaik #Ola #Uber #Rapido #cybercrime

I’m trying make an urgent transaction on my @HDFC_Bank app. I’m trying to log in. It’s forcing me to change my MPIN since it’s been 6 months. There is no way around it. I don’t remember my MPIN coz I’m forced to change it every 6 months though there is no fraudulent activity. Unable to access my own money because of poorly thought out ‘security features’. Why change a pin that’s not compromised? It’s so cumbersome to keep creating & remembering 4 digit numbers for the bank every 6 months. HDFC please change this nonsensical procedure Irate customer.

We went to buy a new family car today. Just requested the showroom to deliver it before 17 May because Malmas starts after that. And the salesman literally mocked us for following our traditions. He said: You people are educated yet still believe in these things? Thousands buy cars during Malmas too. Imagine insulting a customer just because he respects his culture. My father stayed calm and said: Being modern does not mean abandoning traditions. But the salesman kept arguing. So we cancelled the booking right there and took our money back. India is becoming so modern that now people feel ashamed of their own culture, festivals and beliefs. Respecting traditions is now called backwardness. This mentality is more dangerous than illiteracy.

A suit is not the traditional attire of Tamil Nadu's political culture; rather, the veshti and shirt represent the true culture and tradition of Tamil politics. Through this choice of attire, Joseph Vijay has not only introduced a foreign culture into the political landscape of Tamil Nadu but has also signaled—right from the very outset—that he is a missionary.

Dear @TRAI, Imagine your recharge plan is going to expire in 2 days. Imagine someone is following your sister late at night, and she is trying to call you for help. Imagine you are injured on the road and desperately trying to call a family member. But before the call even connects, telecom companies play long warnings like “your plan is expiring soon, please recharge” in two languages. During this warning, the actual call does not connect, and valuable time gets wasted. In emergency situations, even a few seconds matter. These repeated recharge reminders are extremely frustrating. We already know when to recharge. Customers should not be forced to listen to long, nonsensical warnings. Please order all telecom companies to immediately stop these nonsense warnings before calls, or allow the call to connect while the warning plays in the background. Be serious.

“Bhai, I drive honestly all day… why are you treating me like a criminal?” That’s what Nitesh Dwivedi kept saying with tears in his eyes. Nitesh works as a driver in Delhi. Like every normal day, he had taken a passenger and parked his vehicle near a metro station. Suddenly, a few police officers arrived. “Show your first-aid kit.” Nitesh immediately showed it. Then they asked for his driving licence. Nitesh opened DigiLocker and showed the digital licence issued under government rules. But the officer refused. “We don’t accept all this. Show the original document in hand.” Nitesh tried explaining calmly that DigiLocker documents are legally valid in India. The officer didn’t listen. Instead, the situation became more aggressive. According to Nitesh, the officer started threatening him — saying the vehicle would be seized and he would be sent to court. Then things turned humiliating. The officer allegedly grabbed Nitesh by the ear and pushed him. A hardworking driver who had spent the entire day earning barely ₹3000 eventually broke down and cried. And the worst part? Nitesh claims the money he earned that day was also taken away. Sadly, many online drivers in Delhi are now sharing similar experiences. They say they are often harassed despite carrying valid DigiLocker documents, and are pressured simply because they don’t have physical originals with them. A system meant to protect citizens should never become a reason for fear.

I visited Sheikhpura district a few days ago and learned something interesting... It produces onions that are in high demand esp in neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, where non veg food is quite popular. The onions grown in Sheikhpura are known for their reddish colour, distinct strong taste & medium size. A few years ago, I travelled to Bhavnagar in Gujarat for a friend’s wedding. She often mentioned that her father was a businessman... but never told that the family was involved in the onion business. They owned a few factories related to onion dehydration. Mahuva, a town in Bhavnagar, is famous as the “Onion Dehydration Hub of India”. This place is the global hub of supplying processed onion products, particularly to Europe, USA & Middle East. The industries there are involved in producing dehydrated onion (flakes and powder), fried onions, onion kibbles /chips, onion powder and granules, pickled onions and so on. This small place contributes approx 80-90% of India’s total dehydrated onion production. In contrast, farmers in Bihar mainly sell fresh onions, which often face unpredictable price changes. There is a clear opportunity for new onion dehydration projects here. There exists a ready market. The B2B market is massive... Instant noodle tastemakers, spice blends, ready-to-eat meals, fast food chains (for pizza toppings & sauces) prefer flakes/powder for consistency and ease of storage. Starting such a business is not very difficult... Requires modest investment. Financial/banking support is available through govt schemes like PMFME & PMEGP for small units... Large units will get incentives and support under Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025 (BIPPP 2025). For more info, one can contact the District Industries Centre in Sheikhpura or visit the Investment Facilitation Centre at Ground Floor, Indira Bhawan, Atal Path, Patna.

In May 2022, while digging into National Horticulture Board data, I discovered that Bihar was India's top mushroom producer - a fact the state's Agriculture Department, despite being supported by a top global consultancy firm, was utterly clueless about. My revelation forced a media frenzy... Ministers and officials immediately claimed credit in newspapers next day... Funnily enough, the data had been public for months, yet it was ignored until I brought it to light. Three years on, official publications and officers still peddle this outdated figure. This isn't just incompetence. It's a blatant disinterest in truly marketing Bihar. Even though I generally avoid criticising the state (due to professional ethics)... something has triggered me now. Recently I came to that Bihar boasts a turmeric variety with an impressive 8.4% curcumin content... Rajendra Sonia, a Bihar-developed turmeric has high yields (400-450 quintals/ha) and disease resistance. However, it's virtually unknown globally due to poor marketing by the state. Try to find this on @agribihar's social media account. You won't get it. The world knows Lakadong turmeric from Meghalaya as the Indian variety with one of the highest curcumin contents globally, typically 8%, with some batches reaching up to 9% curcumin concentration. Curcumin is the primary bioactive compound responsible for turmeric's medicinal value... During 2023-24, India exported 1.62 lakh tons of turmeric, earning $226.5 million in export revenue... Accounts for >62% of the total global turmeric trade. Our failure isn't circumstance... it's a lack of intent and passion.

SHOCKING: Outrage in Congress ruled Telangana as an 800-year-old Kakatiya Shiva temple in Warangal's Ashok Nagar is razed for a new govt school project. The heritage site bore a rare 1231 AD Telugu inscription from Ganapatideva's era. Congress govt promise to rebuild it stone-by-stone after public backlash.

Congress Telangana Govt demolishes 800 years old temple It took the Kakatiyas years to carve. It took a single bulldozer one day to erase. In Khanapur, Warangal, an 800-year-old Shiva temple from the Kakatiya era has been razed to the ground. The justification? To make way for a new integrated school. What is the point of a school built on the literal erasure of our heritage? We are teaching the next generation from textbooks while destroying the primary sources of their history right outside the classroom window. India possesses a density of heritage that no other nation can claim, yet we often treat it with a unique brand of apathy. Why is the political class so consistently indifferent to these anchors of our culture? This isn't just a "planning error." It reflects a deeper, systemic desire to disconnect the masses from their roots. When the state treats native Hindu civilization as an obstacle rather than a foundation, this hatred flows down into our institutions, leading to the "extraction" of our shared memory. Restoration was an option. Designing the school around the heritage site was an option. Instead, the path of destruction was chosen. When we level these structures, we aren't just losing stones; we are losing the physical evidence of our ancestors' engineering, art, and spirit. We must ask: Who is being served by this erasure? And what will be left for us to inherit once the bulldozers are done?
