@adrian_otoiu @nixcraft oboy! this post is like a thought echo of some sort! same story here. went to opera in 2000, moved away briefly when it went paid, then went back, stayed till they ditched gecko. tried vivaldi, and have stuck with it. chrome only for chrome-only stuff. opera is a stand-in now.

@nixcraft Anyone still using Chrome.? I have been a log-time fan of Opera, until it got dumbed-down (in the meanwhile it made a comeback, but I had already lost my patience. So now, Vivaldi all the way as a favourite browser. In keep Chrome just for some Chrome-only fill-in forms.

I've just come out of a nightmare with Reliance Digital online, which has to have the worst customer service processes in the history of humanity. From the lowly executive to the CEO to whom you finally escalate, everyone is utterly callous.

@NalinisKitchen @AshwiniVaishnaw This isn't a bug; it's a feature. WL running over 1000. Tatkal given 10% and more of total berths. There were 70-odd berths in Tatkal, my IRCTC wallet was stocked, and I kept getting this crappy message till everthing was booked. Then my WL tkt got confirmed. The system's rotten.

Dear @AshwiniVaishnaw, Today, I tried to book a 3AC ticket at 10 AM, but I failed. Then I tried again at 11 AM to book a Sleeper ticket, and I failed again. Tatkal ticket booking feels like a lottery in India. It is extremely frustrating. Out of all the times I have tried to book Tatkal tickets, I have only succeeded about 2-3 times out of 10. Most of the time, I face connection issues, timeouts, logouts, or the payment gets stuck waiting for confirmation. Please do something about this. This issue has been pending for a long time, and people are seriously frustrated with it.

@priteshlakhani As they say - it's not a big, it's a feature. I once got a tkt waitlisted 28 on tatkal two mins after booking opened; I go back to the big page, and the waitlist position (not current status) was 18!!! I mean, how is that even logically possible?!! The system is corrupt.

Villans aren’t born, they are made. Indian Railways Tatkal opens at 10am. Tried booking till 10:20. Nothing went through. Called an agent at 10:22. Recived confirmed ticket by 10:34. The system isn't broken. It's sold to agents. Now when their next order comes, my margins will recover yesterday's inconvenience.

I think India will get solved with just 2 things: 1. Cleanliness: Clean the streets. Punish the litterers. 2. Respect: Treat the citizen with respect. FIRs are lodged. Complaints are addressed. Every government official has a body cam. Just two things. Can be done in two years.

@shuveshek @ritujoon2j That's true, especially if you are going from Bangalore. There are plenty of "lesser" places 4-5 hrs away. Not that they'll be empty, but you could escape the mind-,bending madness. Keep your expectations low, and you could be surprised.

Yesterday was one of the most hectic days of my life while travelling. It took us 18 hours to reach Munnar. We got stuck in Annamalai National Park for eight hours on a 10 km stretch. We were supposed to reach Munnar by 4 pm but arrived around 1:30 a.m. We almost ran out of fuel, there was no network in the national park, and our family was worried about us. As girls, we struggled to find a washroom for 8-10 hours. We all say that India is not using the full potential of its tourism, but do we have that kind of infrastructure? One long weekend and every tourist place gets packed.

@amit_ganguli @RockyEatsX Everyone comes at it from just 1 angle. I've been carrying my trash with me for over 30 yrs. I carry it home, nobody comes to pick up the trash. I once got off the train at a station looking for a dustbin, found NONE! Sure, some people are twerps, but the establishment sucks too.

If I may …. It’ll be nice to have a culture of dustbins to allow people to throw their trash (like the bottles, snack plates and packets etc. You see here.) Hold administration to account. But I haven’t seen a single post yet lamenting the lack of basic civic infrastructure

People are getting emotional and saying that ₹20,000 is not a big amount for a bank, and that they should have given it to Jitu Munda. But rules are rules. If a bank starts giving money without a death certificate and proper documents, then anyone could withdraw their relative’s money and commit fraud. In that case, people would blame the bank for releasing funds without verification. And the most important point is that taking his sister's body like this just for ₹20,000, without showing any respect for the dignity of the dead - that too his own sister - is not right.

This ad by @Unilever - Comfort is completely unacceptable. Using a fish market as something “disgusting” to promote your product is not creative — it’s disrespectful. Fish is food. Millions of people depend on it for their livelihood. Fishermen, vendors, and market workers work hard every single day, and this ad reduces their environment to something shameful. People who eat fish don’t see it as “dirty” or “unbearable.” They go to these markets proudly and buy fresh food for their families. What exactly are you trying to say here?
