Today, I received multiple messages from relatives in Gaza saying that Israeli forces have been opening heavy, random fire in northern Gaza. Bullets have struck the walls of bombed-out buildings where they are sheltering or staying nearby. “If I had stepped outside, I would have been hit by a bullet or two,” a relative told me, as more bullets were still being fired around them.
