@thetomlimb @ZackPolanski Those darn macroeconomic trends! Maybe hyper capitalism isn’t all it’s cracked up to be hey? If the worker is the one that gets shafted then you either need to look at yourself and take responsibility or be onboard with changing the system, doubt you’ll be doing either of those..

Once again, because clearly you missed it. Businesses, and specifically business owners, are not the cause of the problem. It's broader macroeconomic trends. Businesses simply cannot afford to pay more, many are already on wafer thin margins and about to go bust thanks to the damaging policies of this government. You're criticising the most productive individuals in society, the ones who take risks, create jobs, generate prosperity through tax and investment. You're pointing at the symptom and calling it the disease. In reality it's far more nuanced and complex, but simpler just to blame the greedy small business owners, isn't it? Because that way you don't have to challenge what you already believe. Lazy at best, but willful ignorance is more accurate.

The Mail doesn't think seem to think workers, of all ages, are worth £15 an hour. That's fair pay for a fair day's work, with money workers will put back into the economy. We are the party for workers. Vote Green on 7th May.

@thetomlimb @ZackPolanski still deflecting instead of explaining why you dont think working people deserve a liveable wage. If you dont think working should ensure the opportunity of basic human necessities like a roof over head then we've nothing to talk about and you're beyond out of touch, sorry

@maijcs @ZackPolanski You're right. Distilling your argument down to all small businesses being purely exploitative (and by extension unethical) means that you are actually incapable of having a rational debate, not that you are unwilling. My mistake.

@thetomlimb @ZackPolanski I just had a rational debate and you deflected all responsibility for the damage people like you are causing. Also using 'small business owner' doesn't mean anything when you underpay your staff, how about trying to be an ethical business owner and then we can talk

@maijcs @ZackPolanski You sound like the kind of person not willing to have a rational debate on the topic. Also the kind of person who wonders why their money has less purchasing power with every passing year, and chooses to blame small business owners.

Success is subjective. Successful (in my view) because it supported many workers, and contributed economic value to this country through millions in tax and investment/spending. Wage stagnation has nothing to do with businesses like mine not paying enough. Take some time to understand currency debasement and globalisation.

@WildCardQuartz @observerqrr @Stan_Angel_Eyes @ZackPolanski A country goes broke when simultaneously trying to provide for its people (socialism) and provide tax breaks and bailouts for billionaires and mega corps. Which of the would you prefer to have? baring in mind anything decent that exists in this country is publicly run and owned

@thetomlimb @ZackPolanski 'successful' business for who? for you or your workers? to get the same home buying power as the 70s, minimum wage needs to be closer to to £30 an hour, if you cant find a way to make that work like the people before you did then you shouldn't own a business to begin with.

@ZackPolanski I've ran successful businesses, employed dozens of people, many of them young people, and helped them upskill and launch their careers. I have paid more tax than the average person does in several lifetimes. And if you get in I'll legitimately consider leaving the country.

@justThomas2025 @callmeMaharani or you shouldn't own it to begin with when you have your own fucking house? the majority of people renting want to own but cant being leeches like you buy up all the housing for "investments", just so you can sit back do nothing and collect. Also you didn't build anything retard

@callmeMaharani So I have no right to a return on the time, money, and effort I put into buy the house and making it nice. I guess I should just let my tenants live there and pay the property taxes, maintenance, insurance etc. myself? You can tell when a person has never built a damn thing.

I disagree with almost everything the Green party stands for, but what Hannah Spencer has described here shouldn’t be happening. The people we elect shouldn’t be drinking on the job. If one pint is enough to impair your ability to drive, it’s enough to impair judgment when voting on laws that affect the entire country. This isn’t about party politics, it’s about standards.

One thing I hope Pokemon Winds & Waves finally does is reset all the pokemon evolution levels. Because right now we have this weird scenario where someone made Spheal evolve at Level 32 back in 2002 because you could only catch it relatively late game, so that made sense then...

I don’t understand super rich people’s end game. If no one has a living wage… they can’t buy your products, services or rent the properties the rich own/hoard. So wouldn’t it all collapse?
