@empyrealviolet @Invinium summoning is not a core mechanic, dodging and blocking are. Summoning was supposed to an option, not the main premise.

@Invinium Despite how authoritatively this is phrased it doesn't really ring true to me. If all fights must be designed to work without using a core mechanic of the game, why even include the mechanic at all? Why limit design opportunities by not having fights that encourage its use?

Whenever someone complains about the Valiant Gargoyles fight with gameplay attached, check and see if they summoned D or used spirit ashes. If they did neither, then you can safely discard their opinion.
