After defeating Mamata Banerjee, Suvendu Adhikari has emerged as arguably the most dominant political figure in Bengal. His first bold move was taking on “Pishi” in Bhabanipur. His second — and decisive — move was winning. Look at today’s results closely. The round-wise projections he shared yesterday played out almost exactly the same. That’s not luck — that’s ground-level intelligence, precise judgment, and a clear understanding of voter behavior down to the ward level. This is the kind of political sharpness that actually matters. He isn’t guessing — he’s calculating. And right now, he’s operating with a level of numerical clarity that most politicians simply don’t have. He is undoubtedly my Chief Ministerial candidate. Performance like this deserves to be rewarded. I may still have differences — I find it hard to understand certain ideological shifts at a later stage in life. But maybe that’s where I need to be more open. At the end of the day, results speak louder than words.
