Yesterday in Sheffield a disorderly rabble of a peloton of cyclists (many in skirts) paid tribute to cycling advocate and dress for the destination tour de force Helen Shipley a.k.a. @CyclingInASkirt by forming a lengthy bicycle cortege at her funeral.
@drewsnx It's funny that of two means of transport that were invented at about the same time, one of which is a development of the other, and the first became dominant before the other, the later one is presented as traditional. It's an Alice in Wonderland world.
@robkewley77 It's endemic in most local authorities, it's so depressing. Demand is so high and funding is so low. I'm afraid it's only going to get worse before it gets better.
Hi cycling twitter. I'm Michael, Helen's husband. As some of you may know Helen's last scan showed that the cancer has grown and is impacting kidney function. This means we have reached the end of the road for treatment and are focusing on keeping Helen comfortable.
