Lesson Recap: The Noble Characteristics of the Prophet ﷺ by Imam al-Tirmidhi Chapters: “The Prophet’s ﷺ Noble Qualities” and “The Prophet’s ﷺ Modesty” 28 Dhul-Qa‘dah 1447 AH | May 15, 2026 CE Last night @CamdenMasjidMAW, we completed the chapters on the Prophet’s ﷺ noble qualities, such as generosity and reliance upon Allah, as well as the chapter on his modesty. We read several benefits from al-Allamah Muhammad ibn Salih al-‘Uthaymin - Allah grant him mercy - regarding the definition and importance of modesty. He said, “Modesty is a quality within the soul that causes a person to do what is beautiful and becoming, and to abandon what disgraces. Thus, when a person does something contrary to honor and dignity, he feels shy before the people. If he commits something forbidden, he feels shy before Allah. If he abandons an obligation, he feels shy before Allah. And if he leaves what ought to be done, he feels shy before the people. Therefore, modesty is from faith” (Sharh Riyad al-Salihin 4/24). In our next lesson, Allah willing, we will begin the chapter on the Prophet’s ﷺ hijamah.
