Our @The_BBall_Index player profiles are so clutch in times like this.
You quickly get a view of what a player is good and bad at, the context they operated within, and the roles they played on each end of the court.

@FrankGaulden @LakersSBN I think you are spot on. If the answer was yes we would have heard by now. The only reason why it would take this long is if he's negotiating with UCONN. Only chance now is if UCONN decides to hold firm and/or pisses him off.
English

@LakersSBN Yea this ain’t happening. This is taking far too long for him to accept the Laker position. College coaches love to use pro job offers to help get more lucrative contract extensions and to look good in recruiting. Hope I’m just being paranoid but I don’t think so.

@PatrickHicks82 just finished the copyright episode. You made a very dry subject extremely interesting. I can only imagine how much work this takes but you're so good at it. I hope you find a way to monetize the podcast. You deserve to get paid for this.

Pete & Mike discuss reports that the Lakers want to add another big, what skill sets they want from a big & the possibility of the team using more two-big lineups. Later, Mike breaks down the in season tourney & how different teams might approach it.

@AaronLarsuel @hmfaigen If his min is more than 2.7 then I agree it doesn't make sense to go that route for anyone.
English

I would not do this, for what it's worth.

News on the Christian Wood front, via Marc Stein: the Mavs are open to participating in a sign-and-trade. My sense is that the Lakers would NOT value Wood enough to go above the minimum or trade someone. However, the Lakers could go above the min by offering Jarred Vanderbilt.
English

@AaronLarsuel @hmfaigen Use the $2.7M TE from the Pat Bev trade to bring him in at slightly higher than the min and acquire his bird rights? I think that would require Wood to agree to a 3 yr contract starting at $2.7M. Not sure he would agree to that unless he can opt out after the first year.

Has it been reported which team is providing the necessary time machine?

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in serious talks on a deal to acquire Lakers guard Rajon Rondo, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. In wake of Ricky Rubio’s season-ending ACL injury, Cleveland has need for backcourt help and is working on the potential move.

@madebygoogle Does Google have a recommendation for WIRED noise cancelling earbuds to go with my new Pixel 6 Pro?

@LakersSBN Down by double digits 6 minutes into Q1. AD starts the 3rd at center. Lakers squeak out a win.
English

@LeGoat23Burner @hmfaigen This is looking more and more like a possible outcome.
English

@TheLakersReview @TonyStyles24 If LA signs them both then I don't see them spending the money to keep both THT and AC. Maybe neither. Assume both those guys get about $10M/yr, adding Russ's $44M and Hield's $23M would put the team close to $50M over the lux tax.
English

wow. IF the Lakers can somehow pull this off … (speechless)

@AnthonyIrwinLA thought experiment - S&T Schröder at $20M for Marcus Smart and salary ballast. Who says no; LA, Boston, or Schröder?

@LFRPod @LakerFilmRoom Does the Gasol/Trez paring have any chance thriving in the playoffs? If so, how/when would you utilize it?
