This is Walker Smith.
After dedicating 17 years to Waitrose, he was recently dismissed.
The reason? For attempting to stop a shoplifter nicking Easter eggs.
Yes you read that right. He should be applauded, not sacked.
Shameful @waitrose. Re-employ Walker Smith!

So let me get this straight. Keir Starmer personally visited Peacehaven mosque where they had the porch set on fire and gave them another £10 million to keep their Muslim community safe.
But in north London in a Jewish community ambulances were set on fire by Pakistani Muslims right next to a synagogue. This looked far more severe than Peacehaven. Why didn’t Keir Starmer visit the north London synagogue next to where the ambulances were set on fire, isn’t his wife Jewish? I’m very confused!

@BellinghamHugh Yes, I’d say not being a bigot was setting a good example.

I'm not interested in Reform's dog whistle politics on immigration, and "Stopping Net Zero" is an economic own-goal. It means throwing away the UK’s lead in green tech and sticking us with the bill for increasingly expensive gas. The climate crisis is an existential threat to our economy; ignoring it won't make it go away. It'll just make it more expensive.
There's nothing about Reform that I like. I don't like their fantasy economics, their plans to privatise the NHS, the culture war nonsense... they are populist, far-right nutters.

Our 12-year-old nephew has gone viral across social media for his incredible bravery. He stepped in to protect his younger friend, who was being attacked by six older boys armed with weapons. Despite the overwhelming odds, he didn’t hesitate.
He was knocked unconscious, and when he came to, one of them was standing over him with a machete to his neck. They were even filming him as he begged for his life.
As a family, and as a city here in Dundee, we couldn’t be prouder of him. What he did took real courage — he stood up and protected his friend, knowing full well he was outnumbered and likely to lose.
He absolutely loves Paddy “The Baddy” from the UFC and has a big passion for mixed martial arts, inspired partly by me. We know it’s a long shot, but if anyone out there knows Paddy or could help us reach him, it would mean the world if he could send a message of support to our wee hero.
To us, that’s what true bravery looks like.
If anyone in the MMA community could share this, it would mean so much to our family. Thank you ❤️

I’ve just learned that @leicspolice have investigated @ABridgen for sharing the Amelia video below. I’d like to inform the Leicestershire constabulary that I made the video, the @ukhomeoffice created the character, and that they’re great bloody Orwellian wankers who can sod right off.

The prompts were simple. First, I told @grok to look at every single Amelia meme on the Internet. Second, I said: “Become Amelia, then make a video and tell the British people what you want them to know.” Here’s the surprising result.

I didn’t mind if you were gay. Until you paraded in the streets in chaps and with dildos in front of families.
I didn’t care if you were trans. Until you wanted access to my kids in school and wanted them to question their own sexuality and gender.
I didn’t care if you were black or white or brown. Until you wanted to pull down statues, destroy our history, re-write our novels and pay you reparations.
I didn’t care if you wanted to cross borders. Until you decided to do so illegally and then started criminal enterprises in the country you entered or lived off the welfare system.
I even didn’t mind if you wanted an abortion, until you started celebrating them and calling the fœtus a “clump of cells”.
I am not the only one. There are millions of people just like me. And we are angry now and will fight back.
The line must be drawn here.
