jordan and i did the branding for icarus, and it just launched. wild to see it live in times square - so proud of the team. i was curious to see what made the work we did so special and fun. so i documented our design process (link in comment).

Last friday was my last day at @join_ef When I joined the US team over two years ago, it was just a handful of people in a small WeWork in midtown New York, but our ambition was big and we were hungry to find and close the best talent in the US. Here more than anywhere I discovered that you could just do things: from organizing a chess tournament in a week and having GM Hans Niemann show up at the door to organizing one of the most viral tech events of the year (El Segundo Defense Tech Hackathon). This would not have been possible without the constant support from @lfgjoer, @ali_susskind, and the rest of the US team. I'm really lucky to have met some of the smartest and most ambitious people I know during my time here and to have worked closely with dozens of amazing founders including @herminetranie, @joemelko, @c_m_ponc, @malvikajain_, @MasonLender, @NicolasNeven, and many more. EF is a truly special place, and it’s special because @Alicebentinck and @matthewclifford have put their heart and soul into it. I’m so grateful to have worked with them and to have been able to witness what great leadership and management looks like. I’ll continue to be a strong EF ambassador and remain convinced EF is one of the best places to build a company. More on what’s next soon!

NYC Marathon🗽 Really struggled from miles 22-24, my stomach hurt, my legs were stiff, i just wanted to stop and convinced myself that my sub 3 dream was lost. But i really really wanted this, it’s the only thing i’ve been thinking about for the last few weeks, the only thing i’ve been doing outside of work. Carried through and let New York do its magic ✨ So grateful for the support, two bucket list items crossed ❤️ OT: 2:59:04 🚀

We just hired our 2nd eng. Shmood now has alumni from Apple, Google, Cornell, Duke, and Palantir. We are a bunch of left and right brainers with amazing technical abilities and good taste (and style). BUT the most important thing about this team is the deep empathy we have for creatives. We genuinely care (and are also building for ourselves) — and that is what drives our speed of learning, iteration, and innovation. I have never experienced such electric customer and team calls — waking up and working with THIS team on Shmood FOR our users feels like a dream. We might not be what you think of when you think of a B2B saas company, but that is exactly why we will win.
