This machine is going to unlock a new era of manufacturing and nobody's talking about it

Ragebating for engagement is so easy. Just give your honest rankings of your preferences. I like blackberries better than raspberries. I like Lord of the Rings better than Harry Potter. I like Vietnamese food better than Thai food. Etc. Try it and watch the hate explode!

Hmmm not gonna lie the @ImpulseLabs cart looks kinda spartan. Might have to design something fancier...

@DSirenite @build_boost Solidworks, as far as I know. Which is especially crazy because it's less forgiving than Fusion for workflow.

@Mammoth @build_boost He might’ve been a blender guy before cad. Trying to learn blender after being used to cad/cam makes me want to kms.

I will never hire anyone to do CAD without looking at part files of stuff they've made. I just opened a part made by an ex-coworker and a simple two part 3D printed enclosure for a thumb drive sized PCB has 378 features, 73 sketches, and takes 8 seconds to rebuild. What a mess 🤮

@evnphillips @build_boost It was simple enough that a few sketches and extrudes/cuts should have done it. Parametric or not, there was no need for hundreds of operations.

@FortSmithFDM I just want usable files. I had to change something and instead of editing a sketch or feature like you should, I had to make the problem worse by tacking on more features at the end.

@Mammoth Nice so you guys are just as arrogant and prone to gatekeeping as the software engineering side, this should be a fun transition 💀

@Mammoth i could generously imagine someone adding a lot of forward looking features for injection molding but that's just too much. honestly i could just look at where the reference planes are and have a good idea what kind of engineer they are. 1. random 2. on datums 3. centered

@build_boost Loads of Move Face, Split Body, etc. I didn't bother to look at the sketches to see if they were fully defined. A complete lack of understanding (or care) of parametric modeling.

@techknight2 @halo_dude Are they shaped roughly like the older Intel Mac Minis, crummy aluminum case that's surprisingly heavy?
