The @BeeNetwork cat "Cat" doing his daily inspections of the stairs and trackside platform including the drainage. I've decided to call him "Cat" after my old cat. @TheStourbridge ya got competition 😹😹

@WealandsBell I used to identify with Jane standing at the altar, but these days it's with the poor clergyman left to deal with the fallout.

We've just had the bit in Jane Eyre where the impediment of Mr Rochester's previous marriage is alleged in church. I'd forgotten how exciting it is, even in a book. I certainly hope I never encounter it in reality.

@suzanne_moore Crazy results here in the London Borough of Richmond following the local elections: 54 out of 54 councillors are now Lib Dems, all elected by a huge margin. Like North Korea, but with canapés.

I really don't know this country at all. I don't think I have ever knowingly been to Richmond.

@AidanRidyard Hello Aidan! How lovely to hear from you! I was beginning to feel discouraged on this platform as few people seem to see Billi. I am also attracting bot followers and spam accounts. I am well, apart from having a virus. I hope you are keeping well too

Whenever I do my gardening job I feel like I'm in a Lady Chatterley AU where an aristocrat crippled from the First World War finds himself captivated by the physical prowess of his rough and slightly intimidating yet compelling lady gardener

1/2 Over thirty years teaching in academia in Oxbridge I have observed massive degree grade inflation. I have observed three main reasons: 1) Students do genuinely work harder than they used to. The world beyond graduation is genuinely much tougher.

I go to uni in one of those towns where the uni is the sole thing that’s there and I’ve always wondered how regular people and families live in places like that.

@tomalin_joshua @2D0XPS A parish may have a detached part within another diocesan boundary - e.g. The Good Shepherd, Ashton under Lyne has a detached part in the Diocese of Chester.

How many other parishes have exclaves? I assume it must be relatively rare.

@2D0XPS It's more common than generally realised. Detached parts were originally displayed apart from the main parish area but it's now possible to select them together.

I've chosen the name Mattins🐾 (Matty for short), because I'll be frequently attending morning prayer (and the "M" on my forehead). I'm looking forward to following in Pushkin's 🌈 pawsteps and moving into the church when I'm bigger 😸 #Kittens #Catsofx

Today’s interweb is very light on cats and very heavy on the ‘err, what do we call the Saturday’ in between Good Friday and Easter Sunday ?’ Christian imagery… Cat pics needed.

Be honest — should supermarkets keep more staffed checkouts instead of self-serve? Yes ❤️ No 😮
