Women play a very limited role in South Asia's trade and entrepreneurship. South Asia has the second-lowest female workforce participation rate globally. Women tend to be excluded from trade activities, and when they are included, it is often at the lower levels. The regional electricity market in #OneSouthAsia requires considerable investments in generation of renewable energies and transmission. @EIB is a key partner in this effort.
