You can corner them better by phrasing it then as a hypothetical. Make them agree under the conditions of what you're saying to be true. What would they say to that if it is true? And you can watch them demonstrate their dishonesty in real time by completely avoiding to answer even under those circumstances. Because the issue isn't that they don't actually know or didn't see it. In fact, they're probably lying that they didn't. The issue is you caught them on something they know they can't defend, so they're going to just try and use ignorance as a shield.
