I stopped taking on landing pages and websites. Not because they failed. Clients paid, clients were happy. But the work wasn't pushing me where I wanted to go. Sometimes the problem isn't that something doesn't work. It's that it works fine, but it's not the work you want to be known for. So I'm focusing on SaaS product design now. Web and mobile. The kind of work that lets me go deeper on problems instead of surface-level layouts. It's not about what pays. It's about what builds the portfolio and skillset you actually want.

I came back to code because AI made it possible for me to build at a level I couldn't before. I'm not coding despite being CEO of YC. designers in 2020: i spent 3 weeks on this. designers in 2026: ai did this in 4 seconds but i spent 3 weeks tweaking it.

Tech has entered its funniest era. You can spend 3 months building a product just to discover the real job is making short videos about the product.

You're not really communicating value in the hero, which is your most valuable part of this. You're making people scroll to even kind of get to know what you really do that's different. Otherwise you're just using your brand name as the H1. There are few CTAs. There's really no actual information that's conveying the who, what, where, when, or why of your service.
