India was buying almost 40% of its crude from Russia at a discount rate, stopped doing so because Modi was being by blackmailed by the US. Interestingly, we are now buying Russian oil at a premium during the 30 day window ‘allowed’ by the US. Also remember, China has been buying cheaper Russian crude with no protest from the US and now Trump’s newest friend Pakistan may be a beneficiary too! Besides many other things, Modi’s disastrous foreign policy (‘hug’lomacy) has sacrificed our energy security too.
