@thockin You can get a “ring” light (it’s actually square) from Logitech that I have positioned next to my webcam - I find that makes a big difference in my image quality and is not very intrusive as it has a monitor mount.

Working on my birthday is a little bit sweeter knowing there’s a @MilkybarUKI chocolate mousse setting in the fridge, whisked with my new @KitchenAid_CA (@BestBuyCanada have a good sale on rn).
You know you’re definitely in your 30s when new kitchen appliances bring genuine joy.

@KRaymerBishop What about getting students to fact check or mark a sample of ai generated research papers? Assuming they go on to have jobs where they may use AI to do research or put content together, having knowledge of what’s truthful or not will help them review AI outputs critically.

I’m doing my first webinar for @tigeraio tomorrow: “Enabling Workload-Level Security for #AKS with @Azure Firewall and #Calico Egress Gateway.”

@saltnburnem @troutgirl I actually swapped jobs this year from fully remote to in-office 2x a week. Everyone goes in the office on the same day and we get free lunch. I actually don’t mind it, but my commute isn’t bad. Being new, it was nicer to organically meet people in person.
English

@troutgirl Nope, I don't know a single person that wants to or likes going back to an office. I have been on teams where they just decided, "ok, time to go to the office"...that is a big nope for me.

Some good discussion and insights here!
Seems like using #Kubernetes #NetworkSecurity policies are popular for orgs with a zero trust/least access posture or users managing multi-tenant clusters who need namespace isolation

@prao24 I am using 3.5, I’m on the free plan of ChatGPT. Looks like 4 is waitlisted so I can’t do another comparison!
English

@mapgirll Thanks for the feedback, Jen. Curious to know, was the comparison against ChatGPT 4 or 3.5?

@ThreadoAI vs @ChatGPTapp for @projectcalico Global Network Policy - which #AI platform wins?
A user on @StackOverflow wanted to know why their policy was denying ALL egress traffic when they’d only denied 1.1.1.1 and 2.2.2.2. I wanted to know if #AI could figure it out! 🧵/1
English

@ChatGPTapp @ThreadoAI @projectcalico Overall very good experience with @ThreadoAI! Great answers, good explanations for the answers and sources.
Admittedly it was trained specifically on @projectcalico content, but impressive nonetheless 🧵/end
English

@ChatGPTapp @ThreadoAI @projectcalico Second question: asking both tools to generate the correct policy. @ChatGPTapp needed specific prompts to get the rules right.
🏆 @ThreadoAI takes the win for having no trouble with my prompts, and generated @projectcalico GlobalNetworkSet and GlobalNetworkPolicy. /3

I’m back with my second post 🥹
Find out how I used #kubernetes #observability to quickly #troubleshoot and fix an issue that took weeks when I was supporting #FMEFlow (I had no idea observability was a thing back then, or how powerful it is)

@kennethfield @googlemaps That explains it!
I opened @googlemaps in @MicrosoftEdge and thought they’d tricked me into using @bingmaps because it didn’t look right.
English

FWIW, my opinion on the new @googlemaps design:
Reduced contrast and hierarchy which leads the map to be more monotone and individual features less distinct. As a base for personalised POI adverts I get it, but purely as a map it's a backward step in design terms.

@BostonLogan @AmericanAir @Hilton what’s the best contact for lost and found?
I’ve lost/left my favourite @Arcteryx jacket Sunday morning somewhere between @HiltonHotels Boston Airport and the gate for the BOS-DFW Sunday at ~5.30AM 😭😭
English

Very grateful to work somewhere that approved my time off request and was supportive/invested in me surprising my mum for a day in Boston, even though I hadn’t accrued enough PTO yet.
Well worth it!
