@mar10party @seanvoysey @ChorusSarcastic Yes but he was more than capable of using the force to prolong that until he could fix his gear but since he let go of his hatred he was unable to do that, or wanted to.

Vader's powercreep is kinda interesting. in the og trilogy he was a just a guy. Looked scary as hell but none of his feats were all that insane. But everytime star wars comes back to him there's a concerted effort to make him as strong and intimidating as he felt vs actually was.

@JuneDayBooks @seanvoysey @ChorusSarcastic Nah, the lighting did him in because it fried his breathing apparatus. Vader was particularly sensitive to force lightning, part of Sidious’ design to control him, since force lightning is his go to move

@ClarkMyWords @cooltown16 @NoMoorXP Sprawling around in madness or scheming is not at all accurate. The man just took over ruler ship of Mandalore and all the crime syndicates. We see him in Rebels 14-15 years later and he easily dispatches 3 inquisitor, right near the end of his life. It makes total sense

@mar10party @cooltown16 @NoMoorXP I think that this could be seen as an erroneous or over ambitious comment. Maul has gained years and been CHOPPED IN HALF since we saw him kill Qui-gon. He wasn’t training/fighting ~regularly~ in the past 14 years, he was mostly sprawling around in madness or scheming.

Darth Vader was taking on a rogue Jedi master, former Sith Lord, and untapped potential padawan all at the same time. Anakin didn’t lose a step after being encased in a suit. What’s more interesting is the dialogue and how Maul says that Vader is no inquisitor and senses it.

@NoMoorXP He’s lost more than a step. Consider how dynamic Anakin was with a saber by Ep3. Ahsoka even told Maul in the siege of Mandalore he wouldn’t have lasted long against Ani. Maul is kinda over the hill at this point & Daki hadn’t been shown as an elite duelist.

@wyshynski Solo is so much better than people give it credit for. It's not great, but it's good. Menace's highs are incredibly high, so yes, maybe I'm being too harsh. But it's tough to get past the script and the acting. It's not good.
