In historical terms, the Russians are losing, one hundred percent. Right now, they are suffering a terrifying number of casualties – 30,000 to 35,000 people a month. Russia cannot keep up with mobilization, contract recruitment, and certainly cannot keep up with training its troops. Will they decide to launch a full-scale mobilization? That I cannot tell. So far, they have been afraid to take such steps and have relied only on offering large sums of money to recruits. Why do we react so sensitively to sanctions being lifted? Because it’s about money. And money isn’t just tanks. Nobody fights with tanks anymore. Money means drones. Money means people. People mean contracts. And if they don’t have the money for contracts, their strength is declining. From an interview with Le Monde (4/5).

Breaking from @halbritz @OrenCNN : A US F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at US air base in the Middle East after it was struck by what is believed to be Iranian fire, according to two sources familiar with the matter. Capt. Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for US Central Command, said the fifth-generation stealth jet was “flying a combat mission over Iran” when it was forced to make an emergency landing. Hawkins said the aircraft landed safely, and the incident is under investigation “The aircraft landed safely, and the pilot is in stable condition,” Hawkins added. The incident would be the first time Iran has hit a US aircraft in the war started in late February. Both the US and Israel are flying F-35s in the conflict; the aircraft costs upwards of $100 million.

More strikes by Prymary unit on the Russian targets in Crimea.

Iranian drone strike hit and destroyed a U.S.-made AN/FPS-117 early-warning radar at Al-Qaysumah Airport in northeastern Saudi Arabia. This type of radar is a key part of air defense, capable of detecting aircraft, missiles, and drones hundreds of kilometers away.

We should not forget that on March 1st, the U.S. Air Force lost three of its valuable F-15E Strike Eagles to an F/A-18C Legacy Hornet of the Kuwait Air Force. Now, after all these days, I am hearing rumors in Kuwait that the pilot of that Hornet has been arrested, as it has turned out he acted alone as he was opposing the joint U.S.–Israel operation against the Islamic regime of Iran. #OperationLionsRoar #OperationEpicFury
