@ToonTakeover_ City will never go for Bruno. They aren’t that club ….. they’ll get someone who’s 23/24 who hasn’t reached his ceiling. Not saying Bruno isn’t good but city will look to gain money on someone if they buy him and you aren’t getting anything back on Bruno

@TPTMerch @NUFCgallowgate That doesn’t make any sense. Club A has a valuation of a player. Club B has a valuation of a player. If they agree = transfer If they don’t = no transfer If the player wants to leave, and makes that known, that changes the value. This is really simple stuff.

£70m for Bruno Guimaraes is already a bit of an overpay, in my view. At a certain point if the player wants the move, he needs to make it happen himself. I imagine Arsenal will wrap UCL-winning and PL-winning adds ons, which Newcastle will include in their final-fee brief.

@TPTMerch @NUFCgallowgate Then you'll have a pretty disappointed player, and Arsenal will move on to another guy. Best case scenario you try and get 40-50m next year, if he doesn't down tools. Or you lose him for a free. Once the player says he wants to go, selling club lose the upper hand.

@TPTMerch @NUFCgallowgate Unlikely, considering how Utd have been in recent years. But either way, you've left the conversation and entered into a world of guesswork to try and justify your point. Bruno G's 70m offer from Arsenal would be the largest fee for a midfielder his age. It's as far as I'd go.

This article is a good example of how bad modern journalism is. It's a generic piece loosely tied to the actual story that Ornstein broke earlier. It's just designed to piggy-back on Ornstein and get clicks, hence the photo. Mourinho has never commented on Vini / Arsenal.
Telegraph Football@TeleFootball

José Mourinho would oppose Arsenal signing Vinícius Júnior this summer as the newly returned Real Madrid manager has told the club he wants all his big names to stay. 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@paolohopez Arsenal are the premier league champions, the only person who is going to be affected here is Bruno G himself. Arsenal will move on and he’ll spend his next 3 years at Newcastle.

@marbrit_ Age doesn't matter to Newcastle, they just want their valuation. Arsenal need to just pay it or move on. It's their time they're wasting.

@marbrit_ Respectfully disagree. Bruno is priceless for Newcastle United. He's the captain and most influential player in the squad. He's worth more to Newcastle United than he is to Arsenal. Newcastle United's valuation is all that matters here

@paolohopez Spurs paid for a player who is 3 years younger. Arsenal’s offer for Bruno G is the highest ever fee for a midfielder his age, in PL history.

@marbrit_ Shite and that's with Bruno so what's your point? Newcastle will get their money for Bruno, they're in no hurry and don't need to sell. Arsenal just need to follow Spurs and pay up. They're meant to be a classy club but at the minute just making Newcastle dig in.

@marbrit_ This is the problem, to Newcastle he's worth much more than that. So Arsenal should pay their valuation or buy someone else. Leave the dirty agent games out and have some class.

Newcastle can ask whatever they want. Arsenal can offer whatever they want. Thats how it works. If there’s a gap, no deal. Arsenal’s calculus is Newcastle need to sell, and the player wants to move. Newcastle’s calculus is Arsenal may get desperate or they can start an auction.

Genuine question to the #AFC fans. (Please, only intelligent/reasonable ones respond) Why do a lot of you believe that #NUFC should sell our best player and captain to you for the price that YOU want? You appreciate we have to extract every penny, right? Not looking for an argument. A genuine question.

@liamdb91 Yes… because Arteta does, personally I’m not that sold on the player. Never seen him have a good performance in a big game, and I don’t think he’d get away with his actions without the benefit of Newcastle’s officiating. 70m is an overpay, largest ever fee for a MF his age.

People replying about “Arsenal tactics” yet it was Bruno himself who declared he wanted to leave. There’s a tinted glasses here where people have convinced themselves he’s innocent cause they want to believe it.
