🔍 Barcelona v Inter Insight I like this angle for tonight, make sure you read all my reasoning why: Inter are facing 14.33 shots per 90 from their opponents in the Champions League. That average is higher than teams like Celtic, Brugge and Brest in the competition. They’ve only conceded five goals from over 12xG - with an average xG per shot conceded of 0.07. That means on average, every shot Inter concede has a 7% chance of going in, which suggests they limit their opponents to low quality chances - like shooting from outside of the box. Looking at records so far this season, Inter tend to concede plenty of shots away from home. Bayern racked up 20 shots in both legs, Man City had 22 at the Etihad, Young Boys managed 20 in the league phase, and Leverkusen had 17. More recently, they conceded 19 shots to Roma at the weekend. Barcelona set the record for most shots taken in a La Liga game in their last home match, totalling 40 shots against Mallorca. Yamal had 10 shots this game, with five coming outside the box and two of those finding the target. They’ve also taken 15 or more shots in 12/17 home matches in the league. No one has taken more shots for Barcelona this season than Lamine Yamal’s 177 across all competitions - that’s an average of 4.08 per 90. Of his 38 in the Champions League, 23 have come outside of the box - an average of 2.35 efforts from outside the box per 90.  In his home games in the Champions League, his shots taken from outside the box reads: • 2 v Young Boys (2 on target) • 1 v Bayern • 3 v Atalanta • 3 v Benfica (2 on target) • 1 v Dortmund Overall, 43% of his shots taken outside the box find the target in the Champions League. With Inter forcing their opponents to low quality chances by sitting deep, shots outside the box should be likely. It looks even better considering Barcelona’s and Yamal’s record, especially at home. 18+, gamble responsibly.
