Prosecutors did not charge him for killing the baby due to concerns about protecting abortion in the liberal state. After hearing testimony from defense medical experts that Goosby was "insane" at the time of the shootings, the prosecution agreed to have the case ended through the not guilty motion. What Russia, Israel, and US didn't count on was Iran actually being prepared to fight back, closing the Strait of Hormuz, and Europe's refusal to get trapped in the war. Now they are stuck, still depleting US armaments but with a stronger Europe & Ukraine. Bad cards for them.

It is in the best interest of both Russia and Israel for the war on Iran to continue, Trump's US was supposed to lure NATO allies into getting caught up in the war. One of the goals is to weaken Europe and divert troops to the ME, and sabotage Ukraine by depleting US armaments.
