PFA Scotland has been consistent in voicing its concerns for our members workplace safety. Despite our previous warnings; pitch invasions, verbal and physical threats and other workplace incidents in the SPFL and Scottish Cup have continued.
PFA Scotland has already raised the issue of “clubs investigating clubs” and now there is an urgent need to review the regulatory framework regarding unacceptable conduct regulations and investigations, in order to secure transparent and independent outcomes which support player safety and the good of the game.
The circumstances at the weekend cause us to directly restate our view that PFA Scotland should be part of a review into the regulatory framework applied to “unacceptable conduct” to ensure that the interests of the players are paramount and that their safety must be the number one issue when independently regulating these challenging issues.
Fraser Wishart, PFA Scotland Chief Executive Officer.

A sixth statement over the Celtic v Hearts chaos. This time PFA Scotland call for an urgent review. Will anything actually be done to stop the scenes witnessed at Celtic Park?

🗣️ "I just don't believe it, I think it's nonsense" Martin O'Neill on Hearts' statement that Saturday's Celtic Park pitch invasion "embarrassed Scottish football". It is understood the SPFL will hold talks with the Government over criminalising pitch invasions. More: skysports.com/football/news/…

And here lies the problem. Celtic Manager saying that the scenes after the last Celtic goal are acceptable and don’t tarnish the view of Scottish football .
@PoliceScotland so this is a clear message for all fans to run onto pitch in future .

@DonaldsonESPN @tSHandJ @PaulHawksbee @andyj60 Thats a car crash interview that. He's literally stuttering all the way through that cause he knows his comments are nonsense

I’ll be on Talksport @tSHandJ at 1.45pm with @PaulHawksbee & @andyj60 to discuss the fallout from Celtic/Hearts on Saturday
Jim White: “Hearts called it an embarrassment to Scottish football. Do you believe that?”

From an Australian football perspective, this Celtic/Hearts situation matters even more with Aussie involvement at Hearts. 🇦🇺🏴
If the reports are accurate and the match abandonment stemmed from Celtic supporter actions, then Scottish football authorities should apply the rules exactly as written. No grey area, no special treatment.
Rules are there to protect the integrity of the competition, and if responsibility lies with one side’s supporters, the outcome should reflect that. That would mean Hearts of Midlothian being awarded the result.
With Australian eyes closely following our players abroad, consistency and accountability in major leagues matter. The badge involved shouldn’t change how regulations are enforced.

Genuinely the first sensible post iv seen from a celtic account. All the rest are blaming hearts players for basically self defence.

Dust has settled, the pitch invasion was so fucking stupid it's unreal. Could have cost us the league after all that effort. Now the focus is away from a monumental effort to win. Can't condemn the behaviour of other clubs if elements of our support behave the same.
