The average price of gas in California is now $6.06. This is $1.67 higher than the national average and 43 cents more than second place Hawaii. Refinery closures will make things worse. Yet state politicians refuse to suspend the gas tax or bring sanity to our energy policies.

Governor Newsom likes to say the California Exodus is a myth. Apparently his own Department of Finance is in on it. The agency reports we lost 288,000 people to other states in 2025. Our overall population also declined for just the third time ever, all during Newsom's tenure.
