This is a good thread about how to add alt text to social media images, with resources and explanations in the replies. I would add, if you're adding a text heavy image, like a poem photographed in a book, or a flyer, you can use an OCR app to save you not transcribing manually

No innocent civilians. I've thought about this a lot, our insistence on constructing innocence but mostly in the context of armed settlers living on occupied land and how they get framed as innocent but Palestinians do not. From birth they are guilty. I know that feeling.

@atarbuck I do buy full price if I really like something as often my size sells out before sale time and I’m usually looking for something very specific.

This is so worrying. Evolv scanners don't work reliably. In a 7 month pilot at a Bronx hospital they alerted on a quarter of entrants, but the false positive rate was consistently above 80%. They can't reliably detect small knives. This is not unobtrusive and is labour-intensive
