@IsraelinUSA @JewishNewsUSA @Israel_Phil Thanks for sharing. This brings back memories from my childhood. It was the favorite song of my mom after my dad passed away. Didn't know that it was Charlie Chaplin who composed it.

Listen to this deeply moving performance of “Smile.” 🎶 Written by Charlie Chaplin during another difficult time, it carries a simple but powerful message - to keep going, even when your heart is heavy. Performed by Lahav Shani and Rom Shani with the @Israel_Phil

@PhilstarNews It's that pervasive culture of lawlessness. "Kung makakalusot, lulusot." Even in golf tournaments mandadaya para manalo. Comelec pa kaya? But let them trust their bad systems until these turns on them.

BAKIT HINDI MAKASUHAN SI SEN. MARCOLETA? The Commission on Elections admits it cannot punish Sen. Rodante Marcoleta for hiding P75 million in campaign donations from his sworn election filings, even though its own investigation found he violated disclosure rules and the lawmaker had openly admitted to doing so on television. SENATE ADOPTS RESO ON FOREIGN ARRESTS UPDATE: The Senate adopts a resolution led by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, seeking to protect Filipinos facing arrest abroad by ensuring they are given time to seek legal remedies in Philippine courts before being removed from the country. The measure was adopted after amendments, including a revised term from “extraordinary rendition” to “extrajudicial rendition” for clarity. Three senators—Risa Hontiveros, Kiko Pangilinan, and Bam Aquino—voted against the resolution. | via Hannah Ty, bnc.ph

@verafiles That's why his nickname is "bato". No sense of decency in him. He fails all 3 values of a PMA officer - courage, integrity and loyalty (to the Philippine constitution, not a person).

COMMENTARY: While they say it is common – not illegal – for senators and members of the House of Representatives to hire family members to co-terminus positions, Dela Rosa went five steps ahead with that unwritten privilege. He filled his entire senate office with family members of himself and his wife's. Perhaps only the thick-faced will have such hubris and hilas. vera.ph/3P2Qsqn

🚨 OMG! Lawyer and DDS Ferdinand Topacio justifies Bong Suntay’s sexist imagination against Anne Curtis by going even further — he imagines raping someone and wala daw crime. While legally that is true, you are what you think. So if you imagine raping someone, it reveals a lot about your attitude and mindset towards women. But Topacio is not yet done being sexist himself — inatake din nya si Jasmine Curtis-Smith (@jascurtissmith) for allegedly being a hypocrite because she wears bikinis and nagpapa sexy to attract men daw! Oh my god! I shouldn’t be surprised but it’s still jaw dropping to hear such arguments from a lawyer. Dapat mapa disbar eto. #Unethical #GenderEquality

Before his arrest, former President Rodrigo Duterte publicly challenged the International Criminal Court, saying he was unafraid of facing the court in The Hague and even urging investigators to speed up their probe. Now held in ICC detention for nearly a year, Duterte is set to face a confirmation of charges hearing, where judges will decide whether his case moves to trial.

You are not facing darkness with your own strength. Jesus Christ is in you. Start there. Not in your cleverness. Not in your spiritual maturity. In His presence. The enemy is not impressed by you. He is terrified of Jesus. So take your ground. Breathe. Remember who lives in you.

THE BOY WHO CRIED (DE FACTO) MARTIAL LAW Does Leandro Leviste know what the meaning of de facto is when he says the Philippines is currently under a de facto martial law? A de facto martial law – the characteristics and effects of martial law happening in actual fact without the declaration and actual imposition of martial law – would not allow DDS bloggers to call Bongbong Marcos as bangag. A de facto martial law would not allow the September 21 rally, November INC 2-day rally, and November 30 anti corruption rallies of progressive and leftist groups to happen or there would have been violent dispersals. A de facto martial law would not allow a billionaire nepo political dynasty baby to march and storm into DPWH Batangas and DPWH Central to take files by force (according to Vince Dizon) from a legislator who has no business imposing his will on the executive branch. You know when there was actually martial law? When Duterte declared martial law over Mindanao but did nothing to actually fix the destruction left by the Marawi Siege and used his martial law powers to silence dissent in Mindanao. Duterte’s martial law in Mindanao also caused an “in terrorem effect” against dissent and opposition from Luzon to Mindanao – especially when such martial law coincided or overlapped with the passage of the Anti-Terror Law. That was de jure martial law. But if you want to talk about de facto martial law, that is more TRUE under Duterte when all of his critics were being muzzled or pummeled into submission. He was successful in jailing De Lima through absolutely obvious bogus charges and ousting Sereno through an illegal quo warranto. He killed ABS CBN and shut it down with bogus accusations of tax evasion and other absurdities. He tried cancelling Sonny Trillanes’ amnesty. He tried to crush Rappler with fake commercial and tax cases. But he only made Maria Ressa a Noble Peace Prize awardee. He did ban Pia Ranada from covering Malacañang. The MAKABAYAN Bloc was redtagged and swamped by the NTF-ELCAC. Richard Heydarian and other anti Duterte commentators like us were harassed. I was put under military surveillance in 2020 during COVID. All of that was happening under the terroristic effect of the war on drugs and extrajudicial killings. Leni Robredo was sued for inciting to sedition through a laughable matrix and she was sought to be impeached by DDS forces. Of course Duterte denied having her impeached which only stupid people will believe and smart people will classify as a form of doublespeak. On the other hand, nobody was filing impeachment cases against Duterte. NOW, you have two impeachment cases one questionably bogus but one actually legit and strong from the MAKABAYAN Bloc. No human rights watchdog or martial law survivors have yet claimed that there is a de facto martial law. And they are far more credible to say so if ever. You are now just clearly pandering to the DDS crowd for the clout and your electoral chances in 2028 and 2034. Make no mistake, you have lost a lot of the critical thinking crowd. Sure, you have the numbers. But like Duterte and Marcos, you will always crave for the validation of the educated class. The irony of fate will be that if you become President in the future, you will become a fascist like Duterte and impose a de facto martial law and then make it de jure after. You are a de facto Diehard Duterte Supporter. You have not said it or admitted it but you don’t need to. You have never said a bad thing about the Dutertes. You owe the passage of your Solar franchise to Duterte. You even praised him effusively during one event. Let me take a wild guess – you will never vote to impeach Sara Duterte. 👊 Now that would make your de facto DDS status into a de jure one. 😹 While you’re still a closet DDS, your words and actions scream DDS. 👊 From now on, I will call you DDS Cong. Leandro Leviste. Like DDS Toby Tiangco. 👊 #Accountability #DuterteLegacy #FloodControlProjects

Kaya nag-iingay yan ngayon against BBM eh dahil hindi napagbigyan maging MMDA Chairman or DENR Secretary ulet! 👊 #MikeDefensor #DuterteLegacy

@jesusfalcis Maraming ginawa na hindi maganda yung Solar company of Leviste with the land owners when he purchased the properties. Many complaints have been filed. Leandro learned his lessons well from father, Antonio, who's well-known landgrabber in Batangas. Ombudsman Remulla should know.

BOYING REMULLA VERSUS LEANDRO LEVISTE Tweety bird said Ombudsman Boying Remulla will teach the new kids on the block a lesson. So young and yet so… reckless daw. Madami ba baho na kakalkalin daw si Ombudsman. The alleged sale of the legislative franchise is just the tip of the iceberg. The land banking by SPNEC and Solar Philippines in general has not been touched upon. If you dig deeply into the solar business, the number one asset that solar companies must secure is LAND. Yung Calatagan Solar Farm na pinagyayabang ni Leandro that produces 60+ Mega Watts required more than 100 hectares of land. Mga 120 hectares nga ata. Despite all that land (ang laki ng 120 hectares ah), 60 Mega Watts is only half of 1% of the 12,000 Mega Watts that Leviste was required to deliver under the energy contracts he secured from DOE. Those same contracts are what Sec. Sharon Garin announced and terminated recently along with slapping Solar Philippines ₱24 Billion Pesos in fines. Sabi ni tweety bird, don’t just follow the money. Follow the land. 👊 #Accountability #BoyingRemulla #LeandroLeviste

It is most regrettable that the United States under Trump has once again regressed into an aggressor state not unlike China, Russia, and Israel. The attack on Venezuela and abduction of President Maduro undermines the rules-based international order, thus setting a terrible precedent of heightened aggression by superpowers. It normalizes Russia’s invasion and continued war on Ukraine, China’s expansionist aggression in the South and East China Seas, and Israel’s genocide on the Palestinian people. It throws the global order back to a barbaric “might makes right” regime, discarding all the progress achieved by the United Nations eighty years after the end of World War 2. As a US ally, this leaves the Philippines with a compromised moral ascendancy in protesting, condemning, opposing, and fighting China’s aggression in the West Philippine Sea. This is due to the fact that our major ally against Chinese aggression uses that same aggression against a smaller neighbor like what the Philippines is to China. This reflects poorly on us as well, regardless of our own faithful adherence to international law, simply because the US is our ally. This serves as a reality check on our reliance on the United States for moral leadership in the world stage and as an ally for regional security and a rules-based international order. I therefore call on Congress to conduct high-level consultations with our national defense, intelligence, security, and foreign affairs communities to draw up a comprehensive and strategic response, in terms of executive policies supported by legislation, to the impact of superpower aggression on our own precarious situation in the West Philippine Sea.

@imtheatan It's no surprise #SweetPotatoKamote acts this way. He learned his #StyleMongBulok from his parents, Antonio Leviste and Loren Legarda. Antonio Leviste is a well-known land grabber in Batangas and Loren Legarda backs Kamote's moves. That's the legacy they created.

🚨The Lawless Crusade of Leandro Leviste Some think Leandro Leviste is a "hero" of transparency. But real transparency does not require a flash drive and a physical scuffle with former DPWH Usec Catalina Cabral's staff. The latest reports from the DPWH paint a picture of a neophyte congressman who allegedly forced his way into Cabral's office to "snatch" and "copy" files without any permission or legal authority. Leviste claims he had "permission" from DPWH Sec. Vince Dizon to take the files; but Dizon said it's not true. Dizon has publicly called Leviste’s claims "baseless and malicious," and even questioned the timing of these "revelations." Ouch. Imagine your source of authority calling you a liar. That means Leviste is far from being a whistleblower. He is a fabricator of stories. According to DPWH personnel, Leviste did not use subpoenas or the "Right to Information." He allegedly used force. There are reports of a physical scuffle where Cabral even sustained a paper cut while Leviste tried to snatch the documents from her. Is this how a lawmaker should behave? No. But, this is how a raider behaves. By bypassing the law to "enforce" the law, Leviste is telling every Filipino that if you have enough power and a good PR team, the rules don't apply to you. Leviste also accused Dizon of having "flood control insertions". when he was with the BCDA. The BCDA and Dizon have both pointed out that Leviste’s claims are factually impossible because the BCDA does not even handle those types of funds. This confirms the danger of Leviste’s methods: when you "steal" files instead of requesting them through legal channels, you end up with unverified, out-of-context data. And then you weaponize fake news to destroy the reputation of someone who called you a liar. Leandro Leviste is asking Filipinos to trust his "moral authority" while he allegedly conducts unlawful searches and spreads malicious lies about others in Congress and now, against a Cabinet secretary. He is portraying the government as a house of cards just so he can be the one to knock it down. If this is how he does things as a neophyte congressman, imagine what he would do once he becomes a seasoned politician or once he runs for a higher office. I see so many red flags.
