@RadarScope While tracking the storms over Southern Ontario tonight, if I was viewing a US Radar, the radar images were lagging pretty heavily but if I switched to a Canadian radar, no lag observed. Have you had any similar reports? Running on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

@CBCPEI Hail is not unusual in the summer. Strong updrafts of wind usually found in t-storms lift rain back into the freezing level of the atmosphere & cause it to refreeze. It then falls again & partially melts; the cycle continues until the hail is too heavy & falls to the ground.

An interesting side-effect to public health measures surrounding COVID-19. Heat waves may be a thing that causes closures in a pre-vaccine future.

March "climate"summary: Temps near or slightly above normal NS & PEI with higher snowfalls. No surprise, Sydney, again had a snowy month, and has topped 460cm for the season. NB remarkably mild March with much less snow & rain than normal. April forecast: a bit cool & damp. Good.
