Jesus of Cool in the UK. Either way, a great debut album of catchy tunes.

One-offs and rarities that shine brightly. One of my favorite compilation albums. Some essential tracks, particularly side two.

@jacobjbg All vinyl is colored. PVC is clear by nature. I have new colored vinyl that sounds great, but some are meh. Same with black. Audiophiles say black is more durable and has less static due to carbon used but on my modest system I can’t tell. Just avoid picture discs at all costs
Vinyl collecting thing I’m only now realizing: colored vinyl, while cool-looking, sounds worse than black vinyl. Is this a well known thing that I am only becoming aware of now?
My first Tone Poet reissue. Wow, these could be dangerous to my bottom line. Recorded in '62 but not released until 1980. Grant's only session with Art Blakey.

I read somewhere that this was Hunter S. Thompson's favorite album. I can see that. It definitely sets a mood, with moments of frenzy.

@batcountry1980@timetogetalone Curious…do you think Lily, Rosemary…fits on Blood On The Tracks? I’ve had some spirited discussions over the years on that one.
Pet Sounds is genuinely the best album ever and if you don't think so you need to have a really quiet moment with it in its entirety and really listen. I'm so serious. If you're not convinced, then you're listening to it with a crap device. Or not really listening.
Not all 80s music has held up well. New Order certainly does for me. This sounds great today! Italian original pressing.

Jazz on Sunday! Guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Half Guaraldi classics, half originals written by Wynton. All played by a fantastic band.

Not everyone was on board with the dance club vibe, but the songs are good and there are some great bass lines and stellar guitar work.

Two #1 singles, but I feel like the rest of the album doesn't get the attention it deserves. Well produced too; this record sounds great.

One of their best studio albums. What a ferocious opening title track. Ian Paice is a force of nature.
