For real. We need to be able to save routes. For a month now the map believes a small 100ft road no longer exists and insists on navigating an additional 5 miles to circumvent. What’s even more infuriating is that maybe 1 of 10 times it will route correctly, so it isn’t even consistent.
Also…. When I went to watch the new Star Wars movie, it thought it was appropriate to park me in the alley behind the movie theater….

I’d like the ability to draw favorite routes and save them. The past month 95% of my disengagements are due to a recent map update making FSD think a road I use to get through my neighborhood does not exist and it routes an additional 5 miles around it every time now. Super annoying adding pins for additional stops to trick it to follow the 2 mile route vs 7 mile route.

@Tesla I believe it. On our ride home today, if I’d been driving myself I may have run over a dog. Luckily FSD was engaged and saw the dog running out of the grass on the shoulder of the road and reacted before I knew what it was reacting to.

@TesLatino @trentsizemore The most frustrating part is when you see the new speed limit clearly on the screen as you pass it making you know the car is capable of identifying it and FSD is like, nah…. I’m gonna do my own thing.

I provided a lot of data to the AI team this week about this specific issue. Of course they know about it, is my guess. But they took the extra data from my truck and are looking into it. I don't know if they're simply not using the cameras to detect speeds on the street signs, or conflicts with the data versus real life, but they're defnitely working on it (and probably a thousand other things).

Unfortunately, speed limit detection and speed consistency are not solved. It’s arguably worse than two years ago, at least in my area. Chill mode wants to go under the speed limit. Standard might go under, or it might go 20 over. You never know… Not sure that I’ll be paying $99/mo when my free trial ends unless this is improved.

@elonmusk This makes sense. Companies don’t charge subscriptions without contracts to leave the pricing at anything but fair market based on its capabilities.

I should also mention that the $99/month for supervised FSD will rise as FSD’s capabilities improve.
The massive value jump is when you can be on your phone or sleeping for the entire ride (unsupervised FSD).

NEWS: Tesla has officially discontinued Autopilot in the U.S. and Canada. All new car purchases now come standard with Traffic-Aware Cruise Control. The online configurator has now been updated to allow buyers to choose the $99/month FSD subscription, while still offering the option to purchase FSD outright for $8,000 until February 14th. New Tesla vehicles purchases still come with a 30-day free trial of FSD (Supervised).
