I remember having to explain to a superior that we couldn't call BIM digital twins if the thing wasn't built yet and even an "as built" model needed relevant data collection to be called a twin. Glad the clarifications are becoming mainstream

@MikeHudsonArchi @thedigitaltwin There are BSI/ISO standards developing for Digital Twins in manufacturing that define the need for 4 distinct components - a physical entity, a digital equivalent, connectivity and an appropriate refresh rate. A simulation isn't a digital twin - it can be a starting point for one

COVID19 isn't the flu. But for under-45, COVID hospitalizes 1% & kills .014%. All ages, flu hospitalizes 1.5% & kills 0.13%. Restricting COVID to under-45s results in 6x flu hospitalizations & 1x flu deaths, & gets us to herd immunity. Shelter the old, but release the young!

@patio11 Masses have been cancelled in the UK for a while now. Stepped into the garden this evening and happened to hear an elderly voice singing from afar. It was the Exsultet of the Easter Vigil. I was moved. The church doors may be closed but the Church lives on. Have a Happy Easter!

My parish canceled all masses for Holy Week, unsurprisingly given circumstances but obviously A Big Deal. Interestingly, the communication emphasized: "We do not do this for us, but for those who, were we to become a source of infection in ignorance, would be put in danger."
