@thesportsgully I dont see Yamal here. Props to Spains back line and Mid field, the real champs.....

English

@thesportsgully He did nothing this world cup. Can we stop with putting this kid on a pedestal. He hasn't earned it.
English

@0xViva @caiberidi @thesportsgully I agree Argentina respected him and brought additional defenders but it doesnt change the facy he can't finish. To be an elite player you need to finish.
English

@caiberidi @markav221 @thesportsgully Exactly this. People think the only impact you can do in fotball is to score, but that’s not true. Now just imagine how dangerous Yamal would be if he had a elite finisher he could pass the ball to after dribbling his way through the defense line.

@Ant_promaster @thesportsgully Im a US and Ecuador fan. Had no horse in the race. My opinion is he didnt impact the game, his crosses were garbage. Why isn't Williams getting all the hype. In my opinion he had way more impact yesterday once he came in and it was his heads up move to tap that ball back in.

@markav221 @thesportsgully The only game Spain didn’t win was when he didn’t start let that sink in

@ResiVeteran @GMC I went through the same bs but I found a dealer about an hour away from home who gave me both. Call around.

So I go into @GMC dealership today fully prepared to purchase this truck.
Finance guy comes back and says “we’re sorry we can’t offer you the 1.9% rate unless we remove all of the discounts”
Ummmmm…. That’s not what your website says, here look.
Oh we know, it’s confusing I know. You can have the rebates but the interest rate will be 5.99%
@GMC advertising false offers is not cool.
Have a nice day…

Wild satellite loop of training thunderstorms hammering southern Ocean County, New Jersey for HOURS today, while the rest of the state is covered in thick wildfire smoke.
The storms produced nearly 6 inches of rain, 1” diameter hail, and a wind gust of 84mph in Surf City! #NJwx

@TelegraphSport Thats wrong, fifa said the sensor didnt read anything. I guess the ball can defy the laws of physics and gravity.....lmao

Fifa are denying that the ball hit Spidercam in the build-up to England's goal.
Norway were furious.

The 3D data from FIFA's cameras around the stadium seem to contradict FIFA's official statement that the ball never made contact with the camera cable in Norway vs England.
FIFA has 16 dedicated high resolution optical cameras positioned around every World Cup stadium to capture player and ball movements throughout the match. They use these to create the precise 3D renderings of gameplay which are used in-game for things like offsides graphics and then also used by broadcasters to create programming visuals.
In this rendering, you can see the ball "hitch" in the air at the moment it supposedly contacted the cable.
Now that by itself is interesting, but the part that really convinces me is the behavior of the English player that comes up to play the ball. This is especially clear in the second wide-angle shot.
Watch his angle on the ball. Watch what angle he takes before the ball hitches in the air and then after.
He clearly has to adjust his angle to play the ball...and suspiciously, that adjustment happens right after it takes that hitch and appears to change trajectory.
To me, this is fairly compelling evidence that the ball hit the cable.
This brings up a very interesting point though...this comes from FIFA's data. They would have had access to this in their analysis of the event.
Which begs the question...why would they release some statement claiming no evidence of the ball contacting the cable existed when their own data seems to suggest that it did?
Just adds to the mounting list of procedural questions that have really overshadowed the actual gameplay of this World Cup.

I have to be honest: I can’t take this World Cup seriously anymore. 3 outcomes now directly impacted by very questionable VAR interventions. Croatia, Egypt, and now Norway. A goal taken away because VAR intervened over a dive, and a goal scored against them because a ball hit a cable and they didn’t. As an impartial observer, the outcome no longer feels legitimate.

I love how FIFA uses VAR to overturn organically won goals just because some tangentially involved player took a dive…
But completely misses it when the ball literally hits a camera cable in the course of play.
Truly a joke of a system.

England player clearly took a dive. Haaland’s push was nothing out of the ordinary for what I’ve seen this whole World Cup on corners. I have absolutely no idea what these people are thinking.
