I issued my first tweet on Nov 6, 2006 after being encouraged to join by Chris Brogan and @julien. Twitter became my primary social media hangout for news, information, measured opinions, ideas and connection. Eventually it became my source for research. (1/2)

@PRESTOcard Is your Live Chat working properly? I was 2nd in queue with an expected wait time of "60 seconds." 10 minutes later, I was still waiting "60 seconds." Figuring things were stuck, I reloaded the page was 3rd in the queue with an expected wait time of "60 seconds."

@Metrolinx The Presto app is a hot mess. The Presto card in the Apple wallet isn’t responding to the reader despite showing an available balance (tap for a purchase worked fine this morning). Trying to sign in to the app impossible—hides a “Next” button off screen.

Being back on my old stomping grounds brought back great memories from my finance days! It was a privilege to join @Commissionaires at @tsx_tsxv to ring the opening bell and mark 100 years of service including their vital work right here in Oakville supporting veterans and keeping our communities safe. Proud to stand alongside my caucus colleagues to present a certificate recognizing their outstanding commitment to Canada’s veterans and their families.

Canada's Markets
Canada's Markets@tsx_tsxv·
Geoffrey Hamilton, President & CEO, @Commissionaires Great Lakes, joined us to open the market to honour the centennial of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires. One hundred years ago, on July 25th 1925, the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires was founded to provide meaningful employment to veterans of the First World War. Today, Commissionaires is Canada’s largest private sector employer of veterans and the only security company in the country operating as a not-for-profit. Commissionaires has the highest retention rate in the industry, and employs nearly 23,000 people in 1,200 communities including its Great Lakes Division which operates in the GTA, London, and Barrie. They provide outstanding security and security related services to federal and provincial facilities, municipalities and police services, air and seaports, private sector organizations including utilities and commercial buildings, and homes across the country.

I discovered important ways to measure public opinion and harness it for public affairs. The media relied on me. Clients sought me. Eventually, it became a social tool, again. Then it became X. I barely recognize the place. I'm signing off for now. Best. (2/2)

This morning, the Poppy Flag was raised at #RCMPNL Headquarters by C/Supt. Robinson, S/M Baldwin and Commissionaire Mercer, to honour those who died in the service of their country, including RCMP Members, in all wars. It will fly until sunset on November 11, Remembrance Day.

In honor of John Amos passing here is arguably one of his best scenes from ‘The West Wing’. This scene not only shows the amazing acting of Amos but it also illustrates how to be an ally and a voice for those who may not be present to defend themselves Rest in Peace, John 🕊️

Shame on ⁦@MLB⁩ for only listing Rose’s accomplishments with the Reds and dismissing his untouchable MLB all-time records—only a passing mention of his career hits without spotlighting that stat. mlb.com/news/pete-rose…
