Re: Unit Bias Ksat = kilosat = 1,000 sats Msat = megasat = 1,000,000 sats Seems simple enough to me

@alexjohnward @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose You know that’s a terrible analogy. Caloric cost is not financial. It’s a false equivalence. And using the 😂 emoji following a strawman is a strong symbol of the lack of seriousness/sincereity. I was hoping you’d have some intellectual honesty, but clearly I hoped for too much✌️

@markfakelast @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose You think feeless is a propaganda word? Free could also be considered a propaganda word - if your mum said "go for a walk Mark, it's free" would you accuse her of running a conspiracy to hide the calorific cost of walking?😂

@alexjohnward @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose You may not care what I specifically think (congrats?), but that word was selected for the propaganda specifically because it misleads people (not just me) to think that you mean that transactions are free. It’s pretty cool tech. Just be more honest about it.

@alexjohnward @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose Do you genuinely not realize that when you say a transaction is“feeless”, people think you mean that it’s free to send? It’s misleading at best, though it may be unintentional in your part.

@alexjohnward @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose What cost are you talking about? Does it include compute power, electricity for that compute power, etc? At least you finally admit that it’s not free to send Nano and that the propaganda just uses a narrow definition of “fee”. Simply refuse feeless for isolated “nodes”, or cap

@w_s_bitcoin @AlmostHeavenWV_ And @Square is currently paying a reward ($25 per new merchant, I believe) to anyone who gets a merchant with a Square terminal to accept Bitcoin for the first time. I think it was @milessuter who tweeted about this last week.

Just had my first experience paying with bitcoin at a restaurant using a Square terminal, and it worked flawlessly. The guy at the counter hadn’t done it before, but at checkout he saw the Bitcoin button and said, “I guess we do accept bitcoin.” 🙂

Imagine you had to choose your life at age 40: Option A: Single. No kids. $10M net worth. Travel anywhere. Total freedom. Quiet house. Quiet holidays. Option B: Married. 3 kids. $1M net worth. Drive a Toyota. Chaos every morning. Loud house. Full dinner table. Be honest, which life are you choosing?

Bitcoin was supposed to be electronic cash. Cash is anonymous. Instead we built the most detailed financial surveillance system in history and put it on a public ledger that lives forever. The cypherpunks are spinning in their chairs.

@alexjohnward @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose I first learned of Nano in 2017. “Feeless” isn’t accurate. It’s just not “fees” in the traditional sense. Either way, you still refuse to acknowledge you were wrong about the LN thing.

@TomerAshur @projecteleven Yes. Not everybody, but the ones who discuss HD wallets and post-quantum, say that they’re incompatible. It would be real nice if that’s not the case though, so this is potentially very good news

They said it couldn’t be done. But they aren’t Project Eleven. Our latest work proves that HD wallets can survive the transition to post-quantum cryptography. eprint.iacr.org/2026/380

@alexjohnward @LN_onthewall @astupidmoose Seems like the solution would be to deduct that fee from the payout rather than a percent fee for every payout. In fact, if that attack worked before, instituting a % fee wouldn’t solve it. You could for example, send 100 sats, pay 4 sats, charge 50 sats from your node.

@ProtonDrive @ProtonDrive Please take down this bad joke. It’s barely funny and it’s a joke about you invading the privacy of your users. At least, I hope you’re only joking.
