Trevor Phillips attended the previous 'Unite the Kingdom' rally. Keir Starmer ought to have watched this video before releasing his own.

I think that the Prime Minister has gone too far And those involved may want to seek legal advice This is not something he should be doing.
Eva Vlaardingerbroek@EvaVlaar

Wow, @Keir_Starmer just added insult to injury. Now he’s claiming that the people he banned are seeking to stir up “hatred which manifests as violence”. Hence, he’s now officially accusing us of wanting to incite violence. I will not stand for this.

Last year's Unite the Kingdom rally = 23 arrests Notting Hill carnival = 443 arrests Palestinian marches = >500 arrests. I'm not making a point about race. I'm looking at the facts about the threat level. This is @Keir_Starmer trying to hate-bait you into violence. RISE ABOVE his attempts to divide the country. Wave your flags. Drink your flasks of tea. Hug strangers - just like last year. And celebrate our history, our shared culture and our potentially great nation. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

I’m not a Tommy Robinson supporter but I intend to go to the march on Saturday. It’s the biggest march of the year, so, as someone who covers protests, I obviously want to be there. But my face will be recorded and added to the government’s database of march attendees. You’d have to be pretty naive not to realise the government might use this against us down the line. Especially after the confirmation yesterday that digital ID is still on the agenda. I could go to the pro-Palestine march instead and my face won’t be logged. Has there ever been a regime that treats its own people with such contempt and suspicion while giving a free pass to those who actively hate the country or support terrorists? This is only the latest incident in a long series of two-tier decisions made concerning protests in recent years. The kind of people who support Tommy Robinson aren’t even hard-line right wingers. Generally speaking, they’re relatively apolitical civnats who love their country and don’t mind foreigners as long they’re not committing crimes. It really is quite incredible that proudly flying the national flag is enough to make the government treat you like a dangerous criminal.

It sounds like our Prime Minister is deliberately trying to incite violence this weekend. Should he be arrested and charged?

I’ll always champion peaceful protest. But the Unite the Kingdom march organisers are peddling hatred and division. We’ve already blocked visas for far-right agitators who want to come here to spew their extremist views. They don't speak for the decent, fair, respectful Britain I know.

Prime Minister. I served this country for 14 years protecting the Queen’s and King’s Peace. I saw firsthand the cover-ups of the grooming gangs investigations. I saw firsthand the increase in crimes that those brought into the country committed. I saw the town go from a hub of the community to vape shops and Turkish barbers whilst local businesses were forced out due to costs. I was permanently injured protecting the public. The injury destroyed my career and to this day has a severe impact on my life. And yet even though I’ve done what I can for this country, you label me a dissident and a far-right agitator for calling out issues the vast majority of the UK are saying. You are a disgrace. You go on TV day after day attacking the mythical far right. Fine, I’ll wear that badge. I’ll wear it with pride. Resign.

I am a democratically elected Member of the European Parliament. I represent the European Union. You will pay for calling me a hate-mongering agitator. I will patiently wait until the British cast you onto the ash heap of history. Then I will come to defend my honor, and the honor of my voters, in court. I will not forget.

🚨 THIS IS NOT NORMAL In the last 30 minutes: Silver: -9.10% Platinum: -4.37% Gold: -2.91% Bitcoin: -2.46% Palladium: -1.66% Trillions just disappeared from the market. We’re moving into an extreme statistical event. Something that has NEVER happened in the history of finance. That’s more than the GDP of 99% of countries erased in minutes. This is the start of a FORCED LIQUIDATION PHASE. Liquidity is vanishing. Funds are getting margin-called. Positions are being closed. They’re selling whatever still has value just to stay alive. I’ve been in finance for more than 15 years. When I EXIT the markets completely, I’ll say it here publicly, like I always do. Turn notifications on. If you’re not following yet, you’ll understand why that was a mistake later.

Right, here's the fact check on that PeerMetals post: *The tweet claims:* 1. "China cut off 70% of refined silver from the world" 2. "Peru is shutting down mines — another 14% gone" 3. "Only 16% remains accessible" 4. "This is a physical shortage" *The reality:* 🔴 *Claim 1 — Mostly false.* China hasn't "cut off" anything. They introduced an export *licensing regime* from Jan 2026 (44 approved exporters, up from 42). Exports are tighter but not banned. In 2025 China actually hit a 16-year high of ~5,000 tonnes exported. The 70% figure conflates China's share of refined silver *trade* with an actual cutoff. Exports have slowed, not stopped. 🟡 *Claim 2 — Exaggerated.* Peru *is* under real pressure — a gas pipeline rupture in March triggered an energy crisis, and emergency power rationing (May 11) is hitting miners. Some major mines (Antamina, Las Bambas) have had temporary disruptions from social unrest. But Peru hasn't "shut down mines" — they're operating at reduced rates. And Peru is ~12% of global silver *mining*, not 14%. 🔴 *Claim 3 — Nonsense maths.* China mines ~13% of global silver (not 70%). Even if you use China's share of refined silver *exports* (~60-70% of trade), that's not the same as total supply. Mexico (the world's largest producer at ~17%), Australia, Russia, Poland, Chile and others are completely unaffected. The "only 16% remains" framing is pure scaremongering. 🟢 *Claim 4 — There's a kernel of truth.* Global silver *is* in a structural deficit (~46 Moz projected for 2026), driven by solar panel demand. Silver is above $86/oz. But that's a tightening market, not a supply apocalypse. *Verdict:* Classic precious metals pump account. Takes real but modest supply pressures and inflates them into "84% of supply gone." The numbers don't add up even on their own terms.

China cut off 70% of refined silver from the world. 🇨🇳 Now Peru is shutting down mines. That is another 14% of global supply gone. One month ago 100% of supply was available. Today only 16% remains accessible. This is not a paper market story anymore. This is a physical shortage. 🥈 #Silver #SilverSupply #PreciousMetals

SURPRISE. Tommy Robinson is organizing a Unite the Kingdom rally this weekend. Now police say they will use live facial recognition cameras to identify people. This will be the first time they have ever done this for a protest. Orwellian.
