Today is #NationalDrinkWineDay. Unfortunately for American sailors at sea, they cannot participate because U.S. Navy ships are dry. Their French counterparts are allowed two drinks per day. On the Charles de Gaulle, wine is available in the carrier's four bars.


The General Assembly added the question of equitable representation in the Security Council to its agenda way back in 1979. Since then, not much has changed. Absent structural reform, the Council's performance and legitimacy will inevitably continue to suffer – and so too, the credibility and relevance of the UN itself. bit.ly/3QKEaQm
