@gabriel1 What if it’s just atmospheric music? I can’t listen to anything with words when I work (and usually just listen to nothing), but music without words doesn’t seem to hurt.

@Romy_Holland I largely agree, but I think people wouldn’t like it if criminals got a better quality of life than their victims. Incentives start to get perverse. So, not tortuous, but also maybe not “cushy”.

i get why everyone is really mean to criminals, it’s good to disincentivize behavior that hurts ppl. but it must suck super bad to be a person with intense criminal urges and no impulse control. it’s just a random roll of the dice on what sort of brain you ended up with. i think there’s a case for scandinavian type prisons. from behind a veil of ignorance, it seems correct that dangerous people should be removed from society and that imprisonment is clearly a serious punishment in itself, the conditions to not additionally have to be torturous.

llms should really learn to copy code with tool instead of using tokens it's insane

Usually 3–10 Up to 4 will be working at any one time To be clear those aren’t all visible. They’ll be in other tmux sessions in their own tmux window. When one is done, it dings, and I have an ocmonitor tool (will release soon) that lets me see all the sessions and their status. Filter/select and then press return to jump to that session window.

how many sessions do you have open at a time?

@markjaquith that’s true, but somehow it’s the opposite for me when we pack summer clothes.

question for the real wifeguys: when you travel with your wife, does she pack an embarrassing amount of stuff? not just like excess clothes and shoes but things i didn’t even know we owned or existed. just me?

Is anyone actually still using Obsidian?

@goblinodds @GarrettPetersen she also cut out the logo exactly Like it's not a circle. It has little cog jogs. and she followed them. there's a lot going on here. The nails are downstream of a lot of diagnoses.

Yes I believe I am using a theme (hopefully that just changes look and not the location of UI elements!) Yes. I think that at any place in the UI (okay maybe not the settings screen) I should be able to search for content, search for note name, or create a new note. Dependable positions so I can get muscle memory that always works. On desktop I have the keyboard available as that affordable. On mobile… need stable UI elements.

@markjaquith @Scav Are you using a theme? That's not the default UI. Anyway, I gotcha. You're saying you want to be able to quickly access searching content in files?

@cnakazawa I could see targeted usage being workable. I went pretty hard on one email for every service and it was a lot of paper cuts.

@markjaquith Honestly I don't care much about that these days with spam filters. I use a catch-all for 90% of services, and secret emails for important services.

I highly recommend not just using a different password per service, but also a different secret email address. It effectively makes 2fa into 3fa.

@markjaquith @Scav I personally never run into this problem. The quick switcher in the nav bar solves that for me. What are you looking for and not finding? (I'm very interested in solving it)
