Crazy. Has anyone heard or has this happen before? I ordered a new iPad from @Apple Delivery scheduled today via @UPS UPS driver knocks on my door and tells me this…. Then tells me that some guy flagged him down on the road (a few min away from my house) and told UPS driver he has a package for him (me), and he will take it, he’s in a hurry and needs it for work. The UPS driver confused, tells him he has to deliver it to the address, and keeps going. Driver gets in his car and follows him to my house, as the UPS driver gets out of van, the guy goes up to his door and says he needs it now, pulls out an ID to show him. The UPS driver made him sign for it and gave it to him. (Didn’t look at ID bc not required). The guy takes the package, gets in his car, and speeds away. UPS driver suspicion is now high, walks up to my house to verify and see what’s going on. To his surprise/fear - I walk out and confirm yes, I am me. …. Now we are waiting on police. …. Fact 1: This guy knew my name and my address and that I had a package being delivered today. SUPER scary. What do we think the probabilities are? 1. My email or Apple account is ‘hacked’? 2. UPS system is hacked 3. Apple is hacked?

Do not buy a @SimpliSafe system. If you ever cancel paid monitoring, it will quietly delete your entire system from their servers. This has happened twice. Now chatting with support in an attempt to restore basic self monitoring. Sigh. Twice.

I’m sorry to say this, but Amanda is correct with this thread. Police are on the side of the prosecution, you need your own lawyer to defend you. I’ve seen them interact in court - they nitpick the smallest details and try to confuse you, trip you up and later discredit you.

You should never be in a room with police for more than an hour. If they read you your Miranda rights, you’re a suspect. Shut it down. Demand a lawyer. This is just some of the advice I got from a retired FBI Special Agent, and two renowned false confessions experts. /thread

How do I get a refund from @kfc for an order I placed via the app? The store didn’t have the order but I have the receipt number and everything. The KFC app doesn’t help at all.

Quick PSA: Someone is attacking Tor right now and has been for a few weeks. The attacker is spoofing the IPs of Tor Exit and Directory nodes, and blasting TCP SYN packets indiscriminately on 22/TCP- spurring a large amount of abuse complaints to hosting providers, which are then temp blocking/banning Tor infrastructure which isn't actually doing anything wrong. For the time being, I recommend all hosting providers *ignore* abuse complaints that indicate "SSH scanning" or "port scanning on 22/TCP" and originate from any of the following IPs: pastebin.com/idKU0agt This is a clever attack. I'm working with partners to triangulate the true origin of this traffic then try to get it disconnected.
