A lot of people have struggled to believe me when I say that the Australian Human Rights Commission is giving pregnancy protections in law to men who claim to be woman, because it’s so stupid it’s hard to believe anyone would say it.

The new EHRC guidance on how to ensure equal rights of all to access basic services falls short of being inclusive or workable in the real world - I will continue to work with other MPs who recognise this to navigate how we change that.
Given how toxic discussion of trans rights has become am not going to respond to comments here because doubt will help anyone.

The Lib Dems often complain they don't get enough media coverage (and they have a point). In the case of the David Campanale judgment I suspect they're glad about that. I'm sorry I missed the story last month. It's a blistering indictment of the Lib Dems from top to bottom.

@tomorrowsmps Thanks, Michael. Small clarification; the court did not decide the case. Rather the party (at all levels) has admitted the case in full in order to avoid a trial. A judge then by order formalised this.

🟠 SUTTON & CHEAM: the court judgment implicates senior Lib Dems at all levels, including Ed Davey's office, and new MP Luke Taylor. Campanale says Taylor "carries responsibility for significant law-breaking", and he's claiming £250,000 cost, plus damages from the party.

We should not allow political parties, leaders, and elections to be bought and sold. @Nigel_Farage cannot say that he has not been bought for £5m and what he is doing with the money. I told @UKHouseofLords that we need to put a cap on the maximum size of donations to parties.
