In 1943, Canada erased a hospital room from existence to save a royal baby — and Europe's oldest monarchy thanked them with flowers that still bloom 80 years later. The Nazis had taken Holland. Crown Princess Juliana of the Netherlands had fled across the Atlantic with her daughters, finding refuge in Ottawa while her homeland burned. Now she was pregnant — and that pregnancy had triggered a constitutional crisis no government had ever faced. The problem was brutally simple: If this baby was born on Canadian soil, Canadian law would grant automatic citizenship. And the ancient laws governing Dutch royal succession were unforgiving. Any hint of foreign citizenship could disqualify this child from ever ascending to the throne. Sending her home wasn't an option. German U-boats prowled the waters. The royal palace in The Hague had swastikas hanging from its windows. So Canada's lawyers did something that belongs in a novel, not a history book. On January 19, 1943, the Canadian government issued an Order in Council that rewrote reality. The maternity suite at Ottawa Civic Hospital was declared extraterritorial. Not Canadian. Not Dutch. Not part of any nation on Earth. For the span of a birth, that room existed in a legal void — a pocket of nowhere wrapped in hospital walls. Princess Margriet was born into that impossible space. The moment she drew breath, she was Dutch — purely, legally, unquestionably Dutch. No competing allegiance. No threat to her royal destiny. The lawyers closed their books. The doctors smiled. And then, as quietly as it had vanished, the room became Canadian again. The war ended. Holland was liberated. And the Dutch Royal Family didn't just say thank you — they said it in a language that would outlive everyone who spoke it. In 1945, 100,000 tulip bulbs arrived in Ottawa. Not as decoration. As gratitude made tangible. But one shipment wasn't enough to express what Canada had done. So they kept sending them. Every single year since 1945, the Dutch Royal Family sends 20,000 more bulbs to the Canadian capital. Today, if you walk through Ottawa every May, you'll find over three million tulips blazing along the Rideau Canal, flooding through Commissioners Park, turning the city into rivers of crimson, gold, and violet. Most people who stop to take photos have no idea they're standing in the middle of a thank-you note that's been growing for eight decades. Princess Margriet is 83 now. She still makes the journey to Ottawa during tulip season, walking through gardens that exist because she was once born in a room that legally didn't. Some acts of kindness become gardens. Some thank-yous outlive everyone who gave them. And some flowers bloom forever.

I just interviewed @KerryLynneFindl at my home for about an hour. We covered everything on gender ideology and child transition, got into DRIPA, and more. She may be the next Premier of BC, and I think your confidence in her can only increase after you hear this interview. Stay tuned. I’ll have it uploaded tomorrow.

Finally a nice trip on reserve comes up to finish off my month. Off to LHR for the first time tomorrow night, a 25 hr layover, then a leisurely J class deadhead home in time for dinner Thursday. I’ve never been to London. The question is do I visit family or do some exploring…

Can anyone help connect me with therapy that is not trans affirming? I need a new therapist. My trans identified female therapist just took hundreds of dollars out of my bank account overnight putting me into the negative. And I have to wait until it’s not pending on Tuesday to dispute the charges. She was the very last trans identified person I had any human connection to or trusted. Fired. The problem is I can’t find a GC therapist in Michigan. It’s an affirmation only model here for therapists. And therapists who don’t agree with trans are too terrified to speak out or to put themselves out there as such (understandably so as they will lose their jobs). Feel free to DM me or email me @ detranshendrix@gmail.com if you have any leads. Telehealth preferred. I will keep you confidential & private. Thank you in advance

In December 2018 a series of sexual abuse crimes by foreign born men against minor girls in Oulu, Finland was uncovered as part of the strategy to combat this, the City of Oulu created this TikTok dance to ward off predators. This is not satire.

This talk was given after two cancelled flights the day before and 8 hellish hours trapped in purgatory at Newark on the day of the conference. I hadn't slept, hadn't eaten, and was so dehydrated I'm surprised I didn't shrivel up on stage. So not ideal public speaking conditions.

The inevitable social contagion of detransition is already well underway. In the same way that thousands of young people once encountered someone just like them online announcing, “I’m trans” — and soon adopted the label themselves. Now those same people are encountering detransitioners. People who have the courage to say: I once believed I was trans, but now I realise it was all a lie. Every detransitioner who speaks publicly is helping to spread the idea that recovery is possible. In a tragic symmetry, the same social mechanism that once drew so many into this medical scandal is now working in reverse — leading people away from further medical harm and towards self acceptance and truth. But the responsibility for fueling this recovery does not fall on the shoulders of detransitioners alone. It falls on all of us. Because we cannot truly support detransitioners while continuing to uphold the very belief that led them into harm in the first place. True support begins with society-wide ideological detransition. Until then, the waves of detransitioners will just keep on coming. We must stop pretending that a new type of human being has been discovered — that a serious psychiatric disorder is an innate healthy trait. We must stop pretending that amputating healthy body parts is medicine, for anyone of any age. And we must stop pretending that becoming a lifelong medical patient is a human right — something to be encouraged and celebrated. My talk from @genspect’s Detrans Awareness Day conference in DC on March 12th premieres at noon EST. Link below.

@Akilgore57 @PIC_Colleen That’s not true. Many US airports, like Toledo, are ‘international’ because they have flights from Canada because passengers clear US immigration and customs in Canada.

Do you ever wonder what qualifies an airport as an “international airport”? Because I’ve been to some international airports and I’m not so sure they should hold that title.

@xavixuan Last time I waited over an hour, the doctor admitted that for insurance purposes, they have to book appointments for every five-minute slot. Your example is a rare exception. He wasn't saving a life each and every time you waited a long time in the past.

I hope karma catches up to whoever did this and walked away. My 4 year old truck was MINT before this. Trying to trade it in for an EV, hopefully it doesn’t screw my trade in value too much. 🤬

Ok, so LA, UA, AA and IB are flying the A321XLR with lie flat J. Personally, I think this looks horrific and it would be my last choice. What's the feeling? Do you fly long haul J? Would you try this?

@ryangerritsen Yup. Thats why Trader Joe’s won’t come to Canada. Entire Canadian market is same size as NY state and they just don’t want to bother with all the French translation on their branded packaging.

The French language laws across Canada actually stop many products from even entering our market. Manufacturers don’t want to spend the money on making new runs on packaging that require French and English so they just avoid the Canadian market all together. Turns out it’s also hurting small businesses.
