The casual, obvious lie, which is what this is, is always revealing. It’s happens like if someone feels entitled to lie because their supporters love the lie, or they believe that lying can’t keep them from winning. If media overlook it, the behaviour just becomes more common

Well, if you’re Pierre Poilievre, this is precisely what you do. It’s not good enough to be well, well ahead. True to his reputation, PP must sow division *where it doesn’t exist* so that he can cater to far-right extremists within the CPC fold. Extremists who are the most loyal donors and door knockers. Yesterday was a textbook case on why Poilievre is unfit to be prime minister: ganging up on trans people, trying to make pornography an issue and calling the PM names that are unbecoming of any elected official. The federal Liberal Party must get its house in order ASAP to prepare for the biggest fight of its 156-year political life. Canada hangs in the balance. #cdnpoli

The officers of the United States Capitol Police risked their own lives to save the lives of others. These heroes and patriots sacrificed so much to defend our nation, and in securing our Capitol, they secured our democracy.
