Take the vow: I will optimize my poetry. I will let my poetry become fast and loud without falling back in futurism. My poetry will look out at others with the doey eyes of a soft, sleek animal.

@RihnAndrew @wrestlingbubble Sounds like I need to do some archive digging. I shoot a fair amount of wrestling and stuff like this is totally in line with what I'm trying to do

@markplasma @wrestlingbubble I’m sure there are some very good ones, but I tend to favor these often anonymously-shot newspaper images.

Boxing coverage, esp. photography, when it “fails” by journalistic standards, often succeeds as imagistic art on par with Munch, Redon, Bacon, etc.

"Two Ton" Tony Galento demolished Nathan Mann via a Round 2 KO in their heavyweight clash at Madison Square Garden in New York #OnThisDay in 1938. A little over 9,000 spectators reportedly saw Galento, described by the NY Daily News as having "all the skill of a caveman out for his Sunday dinner" and "looking like Gargantua with an uproarious bellyache", make short work of his opponent.
